My friend and I went to the Waterlot on Wednesday for my birthday lunch. What a lovely luncheon we had. The restaurant decor is not dated. The decor is old because it has been in operation for about forty years. Each item has a reason/history for being there. Just ask! For example, the photo of the horses at the bar window is a close up of horses from the musical ride which the late owner was a part of (his daughter told me). Take time to look around and don't forget the restrooms because the anteroom is something else. The server was lovely, the food excellent, and the ambience allowed for a completely relaxed unhurried luncheon. After a very long time inside, we sat outside, by the mill pond across from the water wheel, just chatting for another hour. It was just such a lovely relaxing place we were reluctant go back to the city.
