“WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Just returned fron a wonderful weekend at Ashfield House. Elizabeth and Jo make your break special with their hospitality, special touches and surprises
The Hotel was very cosy, our Room 5 was spotless, spacious and very comfortable
The dining room was small the food was excellent. The atmosphere created by Elizabeth and Jo enabled all the guests to mix and enjoy the evening meal with plenty of laughter
We would not hesitate to return

We stayed there last winter. The room was cold, condensation running down the window, and the bed was saggy and awful. The owner was lovely, but doesn't take kindly to any criticism of her accomodation. We were booked in for 5 nights but left after 2 as we were soooo cold. Ps heating is off in the room during the day

We stayed here as part of our wedding day. The groom stayed the night before the wedding and we returned as a married couple the following night.
We stayed in the apartment that is separate from the main hotel. The entrance to the apartment is in a courtyard and between buildings that are a bit narrow but this is only an observation and not an issue. The accommodation was clean, well presented and lovely and warm. In fact a bit too warm, but opening windows solved that.
Separate double bedroom, shower room, kitchen and lounge diner were plenty of space for us.
The town is a tranquil spot and night time is perfectly silent so although being "on the high street" there is no issue of being disturbed.
Ashfield House is a family run business and their warmth and willingness to help with anything is amazing. Although we were only there a few nights they went out of their way to ensure our stay was special, and it was... very special.
We will definitely go back :-)

Needed a few days break, this was just it. A wonderful welcome, a lovely room with a view of the garden. Spotlessly clean bathroom. On arrival, decided to have dinner at Ashfield House. Although was very informal, the food was excellent.

Room Tip: All rooms would be good

We stayed in the garden suite for 2 days this weekend as I was best man in a nearby wedding. Elizabeth and Jo made us feel very welcome and as if we were the only guests in the place (we weren't by the way).

And when the taxi that was meant to take me and the groom to the wedding didn't turn up, Elizabeth went far beyond the call of duty and drove us to the wedding venue herself.

All weekend they couldn't do enough for us and I have no hesitation in saying this was one of the best B&B experiences I've ever had. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Choose Ashfield House for your stay in Grassington and you won't regret it.

Stayed just the one night midweek, I was given a late availability discount for the double room with en suite. Everything was nice and clean in the room with a lovely bathroom and excellent power shower. Given a coffee upon arrival which was nice. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh and using local produce, plenty of choice to suit all. There were no bath robes as advertised in the room, but as we didn't notice until we needed them late in the evening, so it was too late to ask for them.

Very accommodating hosts at this Home from Home tucked away in quiet location for my squad who were riding the Wellington Place Sportive in the Dales. Great hospitality and breakfast . Loved the homemade cookies.
