“CoffeECO is awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

This was a daily stop for us when we were staying in Grassington a couple of years back. The scones and treats are awesome, the coffee is great, and the people are super friendly. We're going back this next year, and I look forward to more mornings at CoffeECO!

“Very good coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Stopped off for a cuppa after a walk up the Wharfe. Welcoming, warm, nice looking cakes as well. Just had a couple of drinks, and the coffee was very good - interesting blend.

“Needs improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

We visited yesterday on Remembrance Sunday, well we will not be remembering them. The service was something to feel sorry for, maybe understaffed might cut it. No disrespects to the drink which was very nice when we finally got it after a 40 minute wait. There was one member of staff trying to reassure everyone which was nice but its not really good enough for a small independent coffee shop in a small village like Grassington. They should be fully equipped for a busy day. 4* to the coffee -1* to the service and wait.

Hi Magaret L,
Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback. I'm really glad that you found your Flat White to be very nice, when it finally arrived.
I must apologise for the unusually slow service you received on Sunday. As you suggested, we were indeed short staffed, in fact, we had two team members less than were supposed to be working.
As always, we had staffed up well ready for a busy weekend, but unfortunately some of our team have been struck by a cold/flu bug that seems to be doing the rounds. In this circumstance, there were simply no other available colleagues to work, and I admit that we did fall behind for an hour or so in the middle of the day.
I agree that your experience with us on Sunday was not up to scratch and hope you'll accept my sincere apologies. I'd love to show you our normal standards, if you are in Grassington in the future, please do come and give us another chance to get it right. You can be sure of a warm welcome, and the same great coffee. Kind regards, Mark.

“Dog friendly and good food - bliss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is an attractive cafe with a good menu at excellent prices and with free WiFi! What more could you want ? Well you could want Eco friendly food and a very helpful and friendly service. You get all that as well in this cafe (and doggie treats)
To quote Arnold - 'I will be back!' Most definitely

Hi Nicky R,
Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback, I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. We're a small team here and it's good to know when we've got it right.
I'm glad to see that you made the most of our free Wifi, it's something we're proud to offer in a rural village where a 4G or even 3G mobile phone signal is something of a dream.
I look forward to welcoming you on your next visit.
Many thanks,
Mark

“Best ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Best cup of coffee I've ever had out (far better than all those mainstream inferior coffee shops - I call them coffee slops). Very friendly service and the attention to detail was great.

Hi SnidgeAllen,
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I'm really glad to hear that you appreciate our coffee. I'm passionate about coffee & share your thoughts on the national chains.
It's a shame that a genuinely good coffee is so hard to come by, we worked hard with our supplier to come up with a perfectly balanced blend that is bold enough to please a real coffee fan such as yourself, but not alienate us from the masses needed for a profitable business.
The resulting blend was deemed good enough by judges to win 2 Gold Stars at the 2012 Great Taste awards, and is certified as Fairtrade, Organic and by the Rainforest Alliance. A triple accreditation that no national chain can boast (probably due to the cost).
I hope you will continue to support independents, and look forward to saying hi the next time you're in Grassington.
Kind regards, Mark.
