My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights in June and it was so refreshing to enjoy a completely different experience. Our room was Beinn an Seilg which is nicely furnished, but the highlight is the delightful bathroom with a big roll top bath set with a lovely view from the window [though I wouldn't go as far as the best view in Scotland!].
For both days we were the only guests in the hotel which did detract from the atmosphere at dinner somewhat, but with more guests the service, which was already unhurried, may have suffered. The meal was simply outstanding. It was so refreshing to escape the usual haute cuisine and be presented with home cooked, locally sourced food at its absolute best. Stella's desserts lack the imagination of the other courses, but I would rate the meal as one of the best I've had this year and great value for money.
Some may find David somewhat over attentive, but he went out of his way to ensure everything was exactly as you would have wished it.
There is no doubt the 'per person' accommodation is over priced, but the ability to bring your own personally selected wine with no corkage does add to the attraction of this b & b. I would go back for the sheer joy of Stella's cooking and the outstanding personal service.
