Our host at casa portagoia recommended we go there on a rainy afternoon during our stay. When we got there the owner greeted us explained the history of the company and their products. I was excited to hear this is an all women operation. This is a small family operation so the tasting room is cozy and welcoming. We were offered each of their wines with a thorough explanation of the wine and pairings of cheese, jams and chocolate, along with wonderful conversation. We had such a lovely time. I especially enjoyed the Alo and Arrone, but all of the wines are great. Needless to say we bought as much as we thought we would be able to bring back in our suitcases. Make sure to taste the jam and olive oil while you are there.
