“Honeymoon rest earned!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

April 2011

This place really gave us the rest we deserved after our wedding.Good food, friendly employees, miss the trio who will sing to you while having dinner.

Room is big and clean. Food is fresh.

We wish we could stay longer. Will definitely go back here.

Room Tip: the villa's are awesome but far from the restaurant.

I stayed at Club Paradise for just under two weeks at the beginning of October and it was a truely fabulous stay. The staff were absolutely lovely and my thoughts are with them, their family, friends and country people after the terrible typhoon. This is a beautiful place to come and be reminded that there are other ways to live and better priorities than those on which we often focus in my normal world. It is not for those who seek flawless unnatural luxury, but instead for a wonderful experience of a paradise island, peerless marine life and an easier pace.

Club Paradise is a sensational place if you want to get away from it all. Takes a while to get to and although not everything is perfect the overall experience is one you remember. We've been a couple of times so this one review covers more than one stay. Pros: The island itself is fantastic with a gorgeous white sand beach and a reef that really allows you to see some great stuff below and this right on your door-step! The turtles here are famous and we got a great insight into the babies that are looked after until the can be released. Staff is super friendly and that accounts for much. Rooms are basic but actually we quite enjoyed that as somehow an 'all-amenities, state-of-the-art, modern comforts' type of room would have seemed a but out of place. And while the fact Internet is not easy to access, it is amazing to go off-grid for a while; feels like it was before instant communication became the norm. We had two unusual things happen too - we were there once when the red jellyfish just coat the seas; never seen anything like it. And another time we got stranded by a typhoon! While there was a bit of concern we had the place too ourselves pretty much, with a few other guests, and made everyone get closer to each other and the staff; in a way was great. it goes without saying the diving is fab, and the diving club very good. The only two things I have to say that are more negative: A/ The food isn't bad but honestly should be better; you are after all in the Philippines, on a speck in the Pacific! You can easily make stunning food without any effort at all! B/ It is a bit costly so I'd say either they should improve a few things to make up for the price or drop it a few pegs. At the end of the day, would we go back? Yes.

We stayed here for 3 nights and after diving, eating, drinking, chilling and sleeping I can't fault this resort. From the moment you arrive on the beautiful island you are made to feel instantly welcome and the trio of guitarists stay with for dinners throughout your Stay adding to the amazing atmosphere. The house reef is great. We fed two turtles sea grass!! The staff and service is impeccable and every single person smiles and welcomes you throughout your stay.

The rooms are not 5 star in the traditional sense of a city hotel but they are comfortable and clean and really on a location such as this you would be mad to spend more than a few hours in your room anyway!

The walk to the viewing platform is worth the view at sunset but my only slight recommendation would be to trim the tree branches at the top as they conceal the sun a little!

Overall a true paradise that we did not want to leave

Resort is located on an excellent island with awesome beach. However, for the price you are paying, it's ridiculously overrated.
Wifi is only available at the bar.
Rooms are tiny and furnishings old.
We stayed on the island view rooms, and it overlooked a mangrove swamp with stale swamp water & bats & lizards for company.

Buffet spread was diverse & good.
Resort staff friendly though.
But seriously, not worth the price.

Room Tip: If you really want to pay, get the beach front rooms. Islandview rooms overlook a depressing swamp...

Love this little island resort as it is a very nice and quite place to relax and have a amazing time.
It's like from a movie or the news paper where you would never think you could afford to have a holiday.

The beach cottages are very nice and maintained very well, only thing some people might moan about is the bath room which looks a bit like 80's. But nevertheless it is maintaines very well.

The bar offers a good variety of beers (also German beer if you want but I prefer to drink local beer's when on holiday) and cocktails which are not included in the all inclusive but are quite cheap.

The beach is going from the dive center to the beach cottages and is a nice white sand beach with cristal clear water (like on those nice tv adverts) but you need to be careful if you have sensitive feed as there are a few broken coral bits in the water.

The Reef is amazing and lovely and has so much to offer even if you just snorkel you will see so many fish and corals. They have a house reef turtle which is very friendly and loves to play with the diving instructors.

The Dugong diving center is really good and well maintained, maybe a bit more expensive but as there is not much around I understand that its not cheap to maintain it out there. Its lead by two German guys which have an eye for quality and very high standards.
Can only recommend diving with them and ask for Kuya Chris.

Food was the only thing which I have to say was a bit boring, but not that I say it was not good. As my partner is from the philippines I am used to eat the local food. The food was more for western people and only a few local specialties to try. Only exception the Filipino dinner by the pool.
There was always fresh fish, a beef or pork dish and something with chicken.
Rice, potatoes, salad, vegetables, deserts and specialties for kids.
The breakfast had a bit more local food e.g. pan de sal, longganisa and tocino.

Service is amazing and many helping hands keep everything clean, make sure you have enough water and get your drinks right to your sun bed.

If they work on the food a bit more it will be "Excellent".

Highly recommend and we will be coming back soon.

Room Tip: Take one of the beach cottages as you have a amzing view from the hammock infront of your cottage. T...
