“Beautiful location, average property, overpriced trips and meals.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

I have to clarify that I haven't been to any other hotels in these tropical oasis in the Philippines other than this one so I can't make any comparisons.
When I arrived at the airport the hotel transportation was there and recognized our names and the whole process was smooth and quick despite of the heavy rain, the bus took us in a bumpy ride to a boat which took us to the island where the hotel is, it was a great new adventure for me and they had some refreshments which I thought were a nice touch, when we reached the hotel they had planned a welcome drink for us and a cheesy welcome song with a terrible group of middle aged dancers, the room was basic and the bathroom was comfortable, their room service is below average and overpriced and the restaurant meals are overpriced but I did however enjoy their bar and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The major negative part of the stay which happens to relate to the highlight of the trip is the sightseeing, they take on this journey to visit a couple of places which are advertised on their front desk. Extremely overpriced and in some cases not 100% true, for example the animal safaris might not have animals in them, and the meals they provide on board are charged.
They can charge a ridiculous 4000 pesos for a couple to just simply go for a snorkeling trip on a beach for 1 hour and come back.
I will defninitely be looking for other options next time I plan a trip to these beautiful islands
PS: their are large reptiles on this island in a pond there so try to avoid these places.

Room Tip: Book the room with the meals inclusive.

PROS:
- Staff made us very feel welcome and the sandwiches on the fast boat were a very nice touch.
- The island is gorgeous and all guests will have their own beach space. House reef is also great, and we saw a turtle and stingray when we went snorkeling.
- All meals are served buffet style and dinner is always great. We never felt hungry with all the square meals that we ate. We were very happy with the food

CONS:
- For the price that we paid, I felt that we should have had a better room. The bed was so uncomfortable, and so were the pillows.
- There weren't any water coolers available for guests. Being on a hot island, you would want constant access to clean drinking water. We had to call room service for water, which was almost every hour. Very inconvenient on both sides.
- Coron tour was very expensive.
- Drinks were also very expensive.

Room Tip: Cottage #1 is the closest to the club house and dining area. It's a beach front cottage with amp...

Club Paradise always delivers for a relaxing vacation. My husband & I have been coming to this resort off & on since we were dating in the 90's and now we came back with our 2 girls who had their first diving experience at the resort. If you want a quiet, relaxing resort- Club Paradise it is. If it's night life you want go to Boracay.
The food (buffet style) was great. Even picky kids will not complain. If you're vegan, or on gluten free diet you'll be happy.
There are no wifi or tv in the rooms. The wifi /tv is at clubhouse. Club Paradise is for people who want to get away & be unplugged from the modern world- which can be nice! Great place for snorkling- right in front of resort. They have 'resident' turtle family in front of resort which is cool. My kids (age 13 & 11) had their first scuba diving lesson there. Staff is very friendly.
After visiting boracay, el nido, bohol, I can appreciate more the peace & quiet Club Paradise offers- because it's the only resort on a tropical island. It's perfect for a couple on their honeymoon.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms may be more expensive but the view of the ocean everyday is breathtaking. You hav...

This is an Island Hotel separate from the Coron Palawan city itself. Its about an hour bumpy ride from Busuanga Airport. The island is perfect for a couple looking relaxation & privacy. Security is very safe. The Beach is excellent & the water is so clear even at night you can see the sands & corals of about 4 ft deep. Staff & crews are very courteous & friendly. There is also nature hiking activity that guide you to the highest peak point in the island where you will enjoy the scenic view of the whole island. Best time to be at the peak during sunset. The colors of islands near changes from green to orange-red like a flame, very romantic.Food is excellent, variation of Oriental, European, American cuisines. If you like to get away from a very busy city & seek natures natural healing thru fresh air, sea breeze & green trees, this is one place I can recommend.

Room Tip: The best rooms are the Cavanas near the sea shore.

Nice resort, nothing fancy but entirely comfortable.

Good staff, everyone was helpful and pleasant. Security carries AK 47 assault riffles at night time, that was kind of weird.

Place was empty when we were there and it made for a good time at the beach.

We looked for quiet, deserted and well equipped resort with extra class service in the same time, which usually cannot be found, but let me case... we find it . Pls note You pay for the breath taking views, PRIVACY,underwater world, ocean voices and bird singing, not for the room. So pls dont claim abt the room. If You look for fancy accommodation, go to Marriot . We stayed in beach front bungalow , which traditional philippino style , quit large with separate dressing room; so you dont need to lay all your clothes in bedroom, which usually will stress you up, as all your things are all over the place :)

We stayed in club paradise in mar 2012 ( which is high season i case )for 7 days , and for my surprise we saw so few people on the island , that we started to think the island belongs to us . Btw, its a great feeling :) On weekends we felt that some foreigners :-) came to the island , mostly local Philipino tourists who came to enjoy weekend .
There are one restaurant on the island , which was more than the Best .. in 7 days , there was some few dishes which started come around. Good and fresh seafood..my favorites : crabs and tuna sashimi... Chef's lamb as well... cant forget that . Thank You Chef !!

Yes, drinks are over priced, but I found 0,7 L vodka costs ca 26 euros and one coctail 7 euros in bar if i remember correctly . So , make your calculations .. There is no food , drink shop on the island, pls note . When we had our Coron tour , we took a few :-) can of beer fm there to take away.

Very beautiful coral reefs around , not many fish , but corals are really fantastic. Take a private half or full day snorkel trip . it must ... Even my partner had snorkelling there who usually dont go in deap water.
Take look video and decide:

If You would like to see more photos , pls ask

I had quit long thought weather to add such positive feedback here abt club paradise , but finally decided to add ... case You understand why...its because maybe I cant enjoy privacy anymore after my tip in tripadvisor .

Nothing was too much trouble for the hospitable and gracious staff. They even offered to take a group of us out snorkeling to ensure that we saw the best of the reef AND they didn't intend to charge us for this...they were just being helpful (we did however leave a tip). They were very accommodating to dietary requirements and the food was great. The beach front cottage accommodation was romantic, clean, well appointed and best of all, there was a lot of space between cottages so that you had complete privacy - not always a given at most resorts. The reef was sensational and there was always something to see. The only downside was the pool which to me smelt like bleach, but really with the warm, blue ocean stretched out before you, you really won't miss the pool too much.
