“It is a Truly Exciting Trip to Coron”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

It was truly a memorable and fun filled stay. We are definitely going back to Coron, as our 4 days,
3 nights have not given us ample time to really explore the whole place.

Islands View Inn did make sure that we get the best of everything and for that I give them a thumbs up. We booked everything with them accommodation with full board meals and Tour.

1. The hotel was really accessible to everything. Location is perfect.

2. Coron experiences brownouts, the hotel had generators to address that.

3. The rooms were not very big but it was very clean.

4. Food was overflowing, we always had more than enough. There was 7 of us traveling. We were served delicious 6 big fishes.

5. We were assigned the best Tour guide, Mr. Joel Francisco who gave us a great tour of all the sights. Kudos! :)

Islands View Inn is very small with only 6 rooms. They were able to assists us with all our queries, serve us with good food and a great tour. :)!

Stayed w/ my mom for 4 days & 3 nights. We stayed in Rm.2, located in the ground floor, very near the front desk and very convenient for my mom who is a senior citizen. The room is clean though the barhroom has a very small shower space because of the post. Don‘t get this room if your a caucasian, you wouldn‘t fit! Another thing about the bathroom is that it doesn‘t have any exhaust so it really smells if you have a call of nature. The price of the room is very reasonable though it would be better if breakfast is alredy included. They also offer island hopping tour but we didn‘t avail of it. There are many boat tour operators who offers island hopping with cheaper rates. Since the hotel is in the heart of Coron, you can find many restaurants and convenient stores nearby. When i come back, i will fo back to this hotel because of their location

i chose this hotel because of the good reviews in trip advisor for our vacation in coron. the moment i sent them an email they replied promptly and gave me all the details i needed. rates are affordable, we just paid extra for the airport service (150pesos/person) and breakfast (150pesos/person). i think these rates are standard in coron although i wish the breakfast could have been a little lower (food was ok though). we did not get their packages because i think they are a little high so i just arranged for the tours myself in advance through the net. the hotel is clean, facilities are ok: cable tv, ac, hot water (no need for us to have wifi, we are there on vacation), and the service very good. they ask you in the evening what breakfast you like and in the morning they serve it on time. they warned us that coron experiences power outtages from time to time but they have a back-up generator so you can still have tv, lights, and fan. we were out of the hotel most of the time so we did not experience this. each room also gets a metal stand and hangers where you can hang and dry your clothes outside your room and when you wake up, they are still there: ). the service to the airport was on time, too. i think this is a good value hotel and you are in the middle of everything which makes it convenient. there is a bakery nearby and they pack different kinds of bread in 10-peso plastic bags. try them all, they are good, especially the mongo bread! near that is a small eatery selling siopao for 30 pesos. try that too, big and delicious!

the place is well maintained, very clean and organize. I love the fact that their housekeeping staff is very attentive to our requests. it is located near the jump off point to island hopping and to the central plaza. the market is walking distance thus buying pasalubongs will never be a problem (dried fish, fresh crabs).

kawayanan grill is just few meters away. you could have your fresh buco and seafoods for your lunch/dinner. :)

their price per night is way cheaper than the other hotels in the area. plated breakfast is already included. you just need to pre-order.

the only problem that we encountered is when a group had a good time in their penthouse. the penthouse aka dining room (for their set up) is just a few steps down the stairs to our room. they were very noisy at 11pm, laughing and shouting. the owner should have called their attention since they were already disturbing most of the guests. in the morning, i talked to the waiter and he apologized. the group is a close relative or friend of the owner. oh is that so!

Checked in with my family without the kids. Got 3D/2N tour package with all meals included. Simple rooms but cozy and practical. Tour guide Kuya Joel and Kuya Lando are the best! We had a private boat, Barracuda 2 with rest room. Loved the pocket beach where we had our lunch and the food. Amazed seeing the schools of fish and rock formations. Would like to own a place there soon. Hotel people were accommodating and friendly. They arranged everything with regards to thetour, food concerns, and transfers from andto the airport.. Hope brownout problem would be solved soon...had a hard time sleeping since there was no electricity for the aircon for more than 6 hours on our second night. Massage was not that good though okay. Will come back late this year or early next year.

Room Tip: Get the family room for a lower fee. Toilet and bathroom are separate.

We stayed in Islands View Inn for 3 nights on March 2013. It had good reviews in Tripadvisor and the pictures showed really clean rooms which is a top requirement for me. We contacted the Hotel online and our reservation was smooth. We were a party of 11 so some of us had the twin share rooms and 1 suite room. Here are my pros and cons for the place.
Pros:
1.) Clean air conditioned rooms and bathrooms
2.) Excellent Location! Restaurants, Town Center, Boardwalk, Market and Port all within 5-10 mins. walk! We never bothered to hire a tricycle since everything was near the hotel.
3.) Back-up Generator. Coron is frequented by power outages and the back up generator kicks in so you still have lights in the room, charge your phones and fan works.
4.) Affordable rates - 1,500 pesos or 38 USD for a twin room and 2,500 or 62 USD for a Suite room good for 4 pax a night.
5.) The Suite Room is really huge with a balcony.
6.) You can refill your water bottles from the Water Dispenser in the Restaurant. FREE, saved us on drinking water expenses. Hot water is also available for your coffee, milo or cup noodles.
Cons:
1.) the pillows were a bit to high in height so it was uncomfortable for the neck.
2.) No free breakfast
3.) Small room for the Twin rooms
Overall, it was a good stay with Islands View. No major complains probably just the pillows but I guess some guests might like it that way. I do recommend this place to travelers since the rooms are clean, hotel has a great location and affordable rates. I would have given the place 5 dots if the stay included breakfast and more comfortable pillows.

Room Tip: The suite room can accommodate 6 people max but they say its good for 4.

We stayed here for 4 nights just recently.

PROS:
The location was pretty good. It's near the market, Mt Tapyas, the port etc.
The suite room we got was spacious with a tiny veranda.
The bed was good and I really like their pillow.
They clean the room everyday and change the sheets.
The staff are nice and accommodating.
They offer free drinking water refill.

CONS:
They charge 25 pesos for extra pillow.
I don't think they sweep/mop the floor cause every time I go around the room barefoot and look at my foot soles, they were dirty.
Food in the restaurant are pricey.

Coron is a paradise and I love the place so much. I just hate the occasional brown-out though, it seems that it's a normal occurrence there. So, you better be ready to sleep without aircon.
