“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

The lake is very deep and they say that there is a barracuda that lives there but it's pitch black if you try looking down. We didn't find it but it was worth a try and we just enjoyed jumping off a rock formation!

“Curious dive but nothing else”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Surface water warm as usual, 30º, but at -15m it's really hot, about 40º. You feel like a boiled egg.Of course, no barracude at all, only small fishes. Very poor marine live. You better dive without any suit. Swimsuit its enough.

“A surreal place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

This was the first scuba dive i have ever done without a wetsuit on. Normally i freeze diving even the warm waters in SE asia.... but since this lake has a hot water flowing through it, a bikini was more than enough!

What a strange experience to swim through 3 different extremes of temperatures in one dive, and to see little fish suspended amongst dust particles caught in between the layers of fresh and salt water.

There is no coral or much in the way of underwater life at all. Your dive (or swim, or snorkel) here will be about experiencing an ecosystem so surreal that you feel like you are on another planet altogether.

A visit to coron simply would not be complete without a dip in this weird lake!

Great place to just chill out and swim around the place without a care in the world, soooo relaxing! Loved it!

“Great fun for a different kind of dive!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Divers can head down deeper to the 35+ degree bottom of the lake, with a moon like landscape - stick your head in the mud and check out the tiny fish! A great relaxed dive, perfect way to end a holiday in the area.
