was disappointed for the following reasons.:

1. dey dont serve drinking water...you have to buy....as far as i know rest should and must serve drinking water... cost of drinking water===45.00 ( grrrr)
2... fud are expensive as if they are in a metro manila restaurant..
3. other waitressess are snob.....
4. fud servings are not worth the price in menu.....
5. even coron is an island place ......their fud rate as far as i know... must be cheaper as to compare in manila rates....
6. okay with me if they are a first class rest but d place is just an ORDINARY REST.....
7. if you're in a budget better go at MACARIO'S GRILL (newly open which is affordable and delicious fud=== THUMBS UP AT MACARIO' REST)

“great waterfront location but only average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2010

The waterfront location is wonderful, but the food does not match up to the atmosphere. For once Lonely Planet gave an accurate review of a restaurant when it commented “attempts to add a little sophistication to an otherwise generic menu don’t entirely pan out”.

“Excellent Food, Amazing Ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2010

Best place to watch the sunset. We found ourselves in their restaurant every evening after a day of biking/jet skiing/island hopping. Best thing to do is rent a jet ski and you can pull up directly to the dock and sit down for some food and drinks.
A few favorites:
Kinilaw
Hummus
Anything Seafood!!! If you get a chance try the Crabs in Coconut Milk.
All the pasta is excellent. The owner studied in Italy and can make the Italian style really well. Also, they bake their own bread daily, I would actually ask them to make a fish sandwich every once in awhile when I knew the bread was coming out of the oven.
Also, if you're like us and had a decent day fishing (or you can always pretend and pick one up from the market) they will cook it up for you, anyway you like it.
I read one review which had some complaints, it's true the quality may dip a bit when the head chef isn't around, maybe they were there on an off day.....
Overall, would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, even if you just want to watch the sunset...it's worth it just for some appetizers and drinks!
Enjoy.

“Tasteless, horrible and over priced food, great ambiance, complacent staff.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2010

We went to this restaurant for dinner on our first day in Coron, Palawan. We were supposed to go to the Bistro Restaurant, but because of the lack in ambiance we crossed the streets and took the 2 minute hike to get to La Sirenetta Restaurant and Bar.

I should say that I was initially impressed about the place because it was facing the sea and the ambiance was great. The lighting was relaxing and they had little lamp-like candles on every table.

For starters, we ordered cheese sticks and calamari. So far it was good, but I suppose anyone can cook these. For the main course we ordered the chicken adobo, mahi-mahi and thai noodles.

I was looking forward to a sumptuous meal since we were weary because of the activities on the first day. To our great dismay, the chicken adobo was the only thing palatable. The mahi-mahi tasted like it was dipped in water and lead while you better eat Nissin's instant Yakisoba than the Thai Noodles since it as tasteless and soggy. The serving was small and we did not even finished half our food.

I told the staff they need to tell their chef that the food was horrible and all I got was a smile. It's no smiling matter, really.

To top it all, the tasteless menu cost us a fortune and I was still hungry when we left.

DO NOT EAT in this restaurant. All you're paying for is the ambiance but you will not find satisfaction in eating their dishes.

“Beautiful setting, GREAT food and drinks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2010

We had several meals at Sirenetta on our recent 9 day stay in Coron. We normally like to try a lot of different restaurants, and we did some, but kept returning here.
Great Mangoritas, beautiful setting over the water with great sunset views!!
Not a bad meal there. Everything very fresh and rarely out of much of the food items as compared to other nearby restaurants.
