This quaint little place is tucked neatly near everything you could possibly need when you're not out hopping from island to island or diving to your heart's content. It doesn't offer much in terms of luxury, save the air-conditioning (though some nights you may find that lacking too, as detailed later) but it's godsend for people who are looking for some accommodation on a budget.
First of all, I must stress that this place may not offer the cheapest lodging in Coron. It does, however, offer much more value based on what I experienced. My friends and I booked our entire Coron stay with Mommita (yes, she's an actual person there) and, just like that, we were pretty much set for the whole trip. She is as motherly as a stranger can get. She took good care of us the whole time. Sometimes, she would even see us off to our boat as we left for the various activities that she arranged for us in the package we worked out with her.
Speaking of packages, hers are quite flexible. She offers a number of rooms that can accommodate different numbers of people. We were a group of 5 and had a hard time looking for one-room accommodations that could fit 5 people. This place has such a room. No matter how long you intend to stay, I'm sure Mommita can work out the perfect itinerary for your stay. And should you find that you enjoyed one of the places so much, you want to visit it again the next day, she can adjust your itinerary and make it so (as I overheard one of the groups did at the breakfast table).
Breakfast comes in the form of home-cooked meals. Lunch will be served wherever your itinerary dictates you will be around noon. Dinner can be arranged with Mommita, too, but my group opted to take this time to try out to nearby establishments.
The only problem we as a group encountered was a blackout (which happens in Coron on occasion as I've read) that occurred in the middle of the night. I slept through the whole thing but my companions awoke to an air-conditioning unit that was dead. I woke up in the morning kind of sweating with the room only being ventilated with two wall fans. Since I was out, I assume that the place has a generator that's not powerful enough to keep the air-conditioning unit running.
I will definitely recommend this place to groups of people who want to plan a getaway to Coron without bleeding their savings dry. I even intend to bring my family to Coron next year and stay over at this place again.
