Okay, so the place is a little old, that is the ambience! Had lunch there today and had a wonderful cider and dark ale. They have flights, and lots of choices, only issue is that there is no beer menu, except on the blackboard. Personally, I need time to peruse and decide, but staff were great at narrowing down our choices.
Had wonderful crab cakes with curry sauce, Reuben marbles...rolled up corned beef and cheese rolled in bread crumbs and fried...very good, if a tad heavy for an 'appy'. Mains were a Mediterranean salad that was good, but too much lettuce and too little tomato or cucumber, and the hot italian sausage on a roll lunch special.
Other items on the menu looked really interesting. We will be back.
