“Immaculate and friendly B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We had a lovely stay here in August 2011 for 5 nights. It was a bit off the beaten track if you want to be near Inverness, but that's why we chose it right next to Loch Ness. Very tranquil in the evenings and we would watch the salmon from our window making their way up the loch. Kim was a great hostess, gave us lovely full English breakfasts or a Continental choice. Our room was fairly large with tea and coffee making facilities, modern and cleaned daily. I would definitely recommend it.

PS I've had to select November 2012 as this is a late review...

Room Tip: Our top floor room was large with enough space for two adults and one child. Lovely view across the...

I traveled with my Mom, daughter, and girl friend and we had two rooms. One room was a family room with a king or queen (not sure which it was) and a twin bed, with a full bath (including tub). The 2nd room had a queen bed with full bath (shower stall). Both rooms had views of Loch Ness - wonderful. The accommodations are beautiful - well decorated, clean, nice easy location, and couldn't ask for a better host(ess). Kim @ Kimcraigen was a delight and we were lucky to meet husband Andy as well. We enjoyed a full Scottish breakfast both mornings we were there - very good. No complaints about this B & B! We were in Scotland for 11 nights and this was by far, our favorite accommodations. Only six miles from Inverness and very easy to get there. Nine miles from Drumnadrochit and less to the Loch Ness Center. We enjoyed both cities for different reasons.

The only advice is if you are driving from the south, it is a little difficult to see from the road - definitely more visible from the north but the sign is still small and difficult to see from the road.

No doubt, we would revisit Kimcraigan B&B! Truly epitomizes why we like B & Bs!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. I'm not sure all three rooms have views of Loch Ness.

We stayed 2 nights at Kimcraigan B&B and really enjoyed the place. It is ideally located, with a stunning view on the Loch Ness and proximity to Inverness and Urquhart Castle. The comfort of the beds and quality of the bedsheets are simply unmatched. The breakfast was very good. Kim is a very dedicated host.

I have stayed twice now at Kimcraigan Bed and breakfast and i couldn't fault it. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and the Scottish breakfast freshly made.
Kim herself is very helpful and the views are amazing from the house. If visiting Lochness, then this is the place to stay!

We highly recommend this B&B. It is located close to both Loch Ness and Glen Affric. The views from the rooms are wonderful, as it is situated right next to the loch. The breakfast was delicious and we were warmly welcomed. If interested in hiking, we found Glen Affric to be a wonderful place to do so, and less touristy than some areas around Loch Ness we visited. It was easily drivable from this B&B.

Judging from the breakfast tables and the small parking space in front of the B&B, there are probably three rooms in this charming B&B at the top of Loch Ness and just south of Inverness. Our room had a view over the Loch and Kim Craigan's garden, which was delightful. The owner is welcoming and helpful.
The room was spotless and included wifi and the usual tea kettle. Breakfast was big and cooked to order !! fruit, cereals, juices, eggs with ham, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, coffee and tea.
We didn't want to go back to Inverness for dinner, so we dined at the local Oakwood a few miles up the road toward Inverness. (Hint: The Oakwood does not have a liquor license so you can BYO if you pick up some wine earlier in the day, which we did not.)
