We have just returned from a three day stay in May 2013. We were looking for somewhere to unwind on our return south from a four day exhibition in Glasgow, and this certainly fitted the bill. We stayed in Tomatin Lodge. We arrived late, and the hosts had thoughtfully provided food to see us through till the next day.
The lodge is spacious and luxurious, with very efficient underfloor heating. Lots of nice little touches which really finish it off, like a selection of movies for the DVD, towelling robes and basket of fresh fruit. The quality of the crockery and glasses is amazing for a rented property. Above all, having a sauna and a jacuzzi make this a perfect place to relax.
Although we just expected to spend a few days relaxing, we were surprised by how much there is to do locally. Berwick and Kelso were lovely towns, and we had wonderful days out at Paxton House and Floors Castle.
Finally, a mention for the hosts, Richard and Debra. They are lovely and really try to care of you, but in an unobtrusive way. All in all, first class.
