I am fortunate to live close to Lepe so I can visit it frequently. There is ample parking on the beach and up on the top bank. whatever the weather its a lovely refreshing place to visit. You can sit in your car and read the paper, watch the ships go by, just admire the views of the Isle of Wight or the sea. I adore coming here to take my dog for a walk. (plenty of doggie bins) You can walk for 5 mins or 5 hours, do what you want. They have great beach walks and Countryside information. There is a very large open green for playing all-sorts of games and of course flying kites. You can picnic, there are barbecue areas you can book, these are gated so you can have your own organised event. There are public toilets which are nice and clean and a disabled one. There is an information centre which tells you so so much about the shore line the wildlife and of course what part Lepe took in the 2nd World war. There is a really nice Cafe on the beach again with great views as well as a good variety of well price food. There is also an education area too for schools etc. I can go on and on and on. Lepe organise quite a few educational events,as well as World ward reinactments etc.
Please if you do come to the New Forest and want to see the 'sea' visit Lepe. Ok the beach isn't sandy at all but plenty of 'lucky stones' (holes in) for kids to collect. There is disabled parking on the beach and on the bank. You do have to park, but it isn't expensive and they money goes to keeping the area pretty cool
