“Needs some TLC”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Booked this for it convenient position near terminal 5 as we had an early flight. It is in the middle of an industrial estate with no facilities in walking distance. The room was very tired looking but had a comfortable bed. Bathroom very shabby. There was definetly a lack of staff in the bar as had to wait a while. However food was good but a bit like eating in a canteen with plastic chairs. Ok you get what you pay for and we did get it at a reasonable rate but would not return.

We were a mixed party of 4 friends with a morning flight to come. To economise, we booked a family room and it turned out just right. It was very clean and there was still some room to move around. We also tried their cafe in the evening and were pleasantly surprised. All in all a good choice.

Clean rooms, Staff on the front desk very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, good deco, overall very good, Breakfast was good we paid for the extra which had bacon, sausage etc, also had fantastic American pancakes with a good quality Maple syrup. Dining room clean again plesent and helpful staff on duty, only downside was the tele was a little load and was showing football, not the thing to be showing or listening to while having breakfast, but that is my only negative coment..

Room Tip: Great for any occasion, but ideal if you are needing a hotel near to Terminal 5, easy to find..

The hotel was very comfortable, clean and warm. We had a good nights sleep which prepared us for our long haul flight. Efficient but expensive (£9 return each) hopper service from Heathrow to the Travel Lodge

hotel absolutely fine, arrived late so had to go up the mutli-storey car park to the top. This wasn't a problem until the morning when I had to come down. This is one of those old spiral exit ramps and as I drive an estate car it was just too tight to avoid scraping the car. yes, its a big car, but never had that problem in any other car park - get there early or avoid the ramp !

We stayed here whilst visiting my family rather than at Johns sisters London flat as we didn't fancy the hack up and down the M4 this time. A very good move it was too. £195 for 4 nights although a change of plan meant we ended up only staying for 3 (we got a refund for the unused night). Absolutely huge room - space enough for another bed if necessary. Nice bathroom and a good shower with lots of hot water,shower/hand gel and nice towels provided. Very comfy king size bed. Not too much aircraft noise either!
The staff were really friendly and helpful. When we had a problem with the room they gave us another without any hassle.
I have 3 small criticisms:
1. There was only 1 double socket in the room. Ours developed a worrying crackle when anything was plugged in - we moved rooms because of this.
2. There were only 6 coat hangers in our room (the sort that fit into a loop thingy) and nowhere for your jumpers/underwear etc. In our 2nd room there were only 3 so we took some with us(we had a screwdriver)!
3. There was no bedside table.
I understand that most people will only stay for 1 night before or after a flight so the lack of drawer space wouldn't really be a problem but the only place to put stuff was over the hanging space which was pretty high - we had filled the desk space with laptops and water etc. Really I'm being nitpicky I suppose because everything else was fine.
There seemed to be plenty of parking - there's a couple of ticket machines. I don't know how much it costs as we have a blue badge so ours was free. You have to give your reg to reception so they don't charge you for not having a ticket.
There is a regular shuttle bus to the airport.
We didn't eat here apart from crisps and nuts with a drink from the bar. There's cafeteria style tables and chairs in the lobby along with a snack vending machine and a lot of people did eat here. We drove a couple of miles down the road to Datchet and had a very nice curry and also a good Italian.
We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly stay again.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. A great stay, wonderful staff and the rooms are of a high standard. If I'm travelling from Heathrow or meeting family from overseas I always stay here if rooms are available.
