“Fun even when wet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

This was my second mountain bike trip to Wales and equally as enjoyable as the first. Rode The Wall on Saturday in beautiful sunshine and Whites Level on Sunday, which was still great fun even in torrential rain and it meant the trail was pretty quiet! Having nearly lost my dentures riding a hardtail on Saturday I really enjoyed having full sus on Sunday, and secretly a little relieved the boardwalk was closed for repair (I know it's no narrower than the single track but it seems more scary!). The Glyncorrwg MTB centre does a fantastic full breakfast and is great value at £5 incl a hot drink. The shower facilities afterwards were also very welcome. The skills park at Afan, about half way round the wall, is great fun and there was also a little snack bar to fuel up at before completing the trail. .

“Great Mountain Biking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

Managed to get in two rides on The Wall, on two separate days, from the Afan Argoed entrance and it was great. The weather was fantastic and the Bike Shed rental under the main building supplied a bike pretty well suited to the terrain (they set up a 26" 120mm XC bike with front and rear lock outs - great bike for the climbs), as well as being really friendly and knowledgeable - highly recommend the Afan Bike Shed for a rental. About half way around the wall you'll come across a neat little skills park in some woods - table tops, skinnies and berms, lots of fun. If the weather is warm make sure you take plenty to drink - 2L will go easily.

“W2 MTB trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

Rode White's and The Wall, known as the W2, on a gorgeous day. Fantastic route with serious downhills. This was the most demanding riding I've done in a long time, probably due to it being 49km and dead hot. Not recommended for hardtails if doing W2 as its pretty rocky. Lots of connecting tracks but the technical ups and downs make up for it. Overall, buckets of long singletrack sometimes as long as 1700m.

“Mountain biking experience and a half !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

First time riding in Wales and experienced the Skyline ride out of Glyncorrwg. Everything I could of hoped for and more. Awesome trials, thoroughly good fun. A bit gutted that tracks were closed due to forest works but I understand this cannot be helped. Ended up riding down the whyte trail to finish which was a more than adequate diversion.

Facilities at the Skyline are extremely good and for just £1 for the shower what more could you ask for.

Rain was pouring down but that didn't stop the fun !!

“MTB paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Spent the week-end here mountain biking in Afan Forest Park. The cafe above the Mountain Bike Centre is an excellent, bike friendly venue with WiFi, hot drinks, music, and slabs of cake which is excellent if you want to avoid a temporary downpour. We came in sopping wet and covered in mud and the staff didn't mind at all. There is a raised terrace for when the sun shines and you can sit outside and down an end of day beer. Rated as 4-star as a number of routes were closed or diverted, which was not well publicised. Not to be missed in good weather!
