“Fantastic find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

Stumbled across this pub purely by chance thanks to the brown sign. We were slightly puzzled by the outside appearance but what a fabulous quaint place. The sawdust on the floor was a surprise and the various ornaments around the place we're very interesting. The food is basic but excellent with very big portions and amazingly fast service. Overall great value for money, very Welsh and very friendly.

“Fascinating historic pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Found this on the web before visiting the area and I made a point of visiting. A traditional old style sawdust on the floor pub full of nick-nack, character and welcoming publican. Shame it was spoilt a bit by electronic games machine and TVs etc which didn't quite match the historic ambience. Well worth a visit though.

“Perfect everytime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Tafarn Sinc, is a great pub. It's full of character and history with a mix or locals and tourists enjoying the spectacular views of the Preseli hills.
I always have steak when I come here, because it's ALWAYS GOOD! I hate going back to a pub or restaurant to find no consistency with their food and / or service.
Tafarn Sinc is absolutely the opposite of this!

Thank you for another, thoroughly good meal.

“Great Welsh steak, great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

Stopped in to have some food and was not disappointed. Great size Welsh steak, tender.. probably the best steak we've ever had. Chips were nice and crispy and the desert was great. We would definitely recommend a visit to anyone in the area staying of passing through... especially if you want to sample an authentic pub and great Welsh food. Owners were very welcoming and staff we're friendly. It was a lovely day so we sat outside. There is a mock train platform opposite some of the seating outside which we thought was a bit quirky and at first we wasn't sure if the noise from the speakers of the train would be annoying as it came and went but.... it didn't annoy us and it ended up just blending into the background as part of the atmosphere. Inside there is sawdust on the floors and a lot of history on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. It seems popular with locals and tourists alike and is set in a nice quiet location and the Preseli hills set as a backdrop. We went at the end of our week in Wales and wished we had gone earlier as we would have definitely gone back again.
