The cost is an extra 10$/person and the show is amazing ;) The tour begins with a Zimbali greeting & introduction while sipping a freshly made fruit juice. Then Uncle "Fudd", our farm manager, leads a tour of the farm after which its back to the cooking studio for a fun filled cooking demonstration. Both lunch and dinner consist of: 2 appetizers, main course and dessert and come with a bottle of wine/couple- dinner adds a soup course as well. There is a choice in main course dishes between: fish, shrimp, chicken or vegan/vegetarian- Gluten free is a welcome option as well. The pickup times are 10:30am for the lunch tour and 4:00pm for the dinner tour. A reservation is mandatory as we do limit our tours to 20 people. Loved the tour of the farm, but be sure to wear the right shoes! Food was yummy and learned some new things that I can prepare at home.

“Worth the drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

I went with three friends, we drove from Kingston, sort of a trip to celebrate life. You are greeted with a fresh juice and wonderful hosts. The main porch is nice to take a sit and breathe in the overall space. We then went off on a walk of this 7.5 Acre property, as we are all Jamaicans, it was not so much the excitement of seeing sugar cane, bananas etc. Just the awe that it all exists. You return and you can have a glass of coconut water, We settle down to watch the chefs at work, sushi with shredded coconut and not rice, awesome. Grilled chicken on a cedar plank for two of us, for the other two, fish fillet wrapped in wilted banana leaf and then steamed, both were awesome. They make interesting dressings with bananas. No pickled ginger for the sushi, but a nice hand pureed mix of papaya, cucumber, and more. Finally a cake where the key binding ingredient is black beans!!! Everything was right.

“Simply the BEST!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

I have been visiting Negril since 1980 and must say that Zimbali is the best meal and dining experience I have ever had in in Jamaica. For that matter, I rank the meal in the category with some of the best farm to table meals I have had in Italy, France and California. Simply outstanding!

The entire staff is warm and friendly and set a great Jamaican vibe to your visit. Great personal touch the entire visit - from the time you are picked up at your hotel until you are returned. Awesome trip into the Westmoreland Hills - gets you off the beach and away from the typical tourist traps. This is Negril as it was back in the day! The Chefs teach you how to prepare the meal. They will customize on the spot to accommodate preferences or allergies. Live Jamaican music during dinner and after for dancing. Just an all around great experience that should not be missed by anyone visiting Negril.

“Ooolala, Zimbali!”

Ooolala, Zimbali!”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014 NEW

We went to Zimbali for lunch with friends who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. We first went on the farm tour with our guide who knew what he was talking about and which was very enlightening! Much of what is served in the restaurant is actually grown on the property. The farming methods are eco friendly and the results are scrumptious. Lunch was prepared in front of us by two chefs who were not only gourmet, but also very charming and witty. The food was delicious and the ambience was outstanding. We ate, laughed and made friends with other patrons, so much so, that we all met up at another venue later for live music. What more can one ask for.....great food, wonderful staff, and a spectacular location. A note: if you're looking for a buffet type, all you can eat, fries, pizza, burgers, etc. this ain't it! But, if you want a lovely experience combined with fresh, healthy, unique food choices, you picked the spot!
