Description: FOODIES- Rise Up -This Tour is for you! Zimbali's "Farm to Table" Cooking Tour is more than just a Meal- it's an Experience! Only 20 minute from Negril, this 5 Star* Mountain Retreat + 7 acre Organic Farm is one of the most unique places in Jamaica. Come Tour the Farm, Tasting and Picking the Foods & Fruits of the Season. Then Return to the specially design Mountain Cooking Studio for an Authentic Demonstration that is Unrivaled in Jamaica. We offer either lunch or dinner tours Monday- Saturday (Groups of 6 or more can book Sunday as well). The 4 course lunch is $50/person and the 5 course dinner is $60/person. We also offer round trip transport from anywhere in Negril for an extra $15/person- which makes the totals $65 and $75/person respectively :) Wednesday dinners are special as we have our African drummers perform. The cost is an extra 10$/person and the show is amazing ;) The tour begins with a Zimbali greeting & introduction while sipping a freshly made fruit juice. Then Uncle "Fudd", our farm manager, leads a tour of the farm after which its back to the cooking studio for a fun filled cooking demonstration. Both lunch and dinner consist of: 2 appetizers, main course and dessert and come with a bottle of wine/couple- dinner adds a soup course as well. There is a choice in main course dishes between: fish, shrimp, chicken or vegan/vegetarian- Gluten free is a welcome option as well. The pickup times are 10:30am for the lunch tour and 4:00pm for the dinner tour. A reservation is mandatory as we do limit our tours to 20 people. All we need to know for a reservation is: day, time, # of people + name and what hotel you are staying. Zimbali Requires a 50% deposit for reservations more than 2 weeks out and we accept Visa/Mastercard or Paypal. Don't be afraid to dress casual and wear or bring tennis shoes for the farm tour ;)

“21 people in our group....0 complaints!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

Our group consisted of people who have done it all in Jamaica over the last 20 years or more and some people who were in Jamaica for their first time.Trying to plan an excursion to appeal everyone and get everyone to agree is close to impossible, especially when you mention "Ricks Cafe", or "Dunn's River Falls" or "The Catamaran Booze Cruise" or any of the other common tours offered by the hotels etc etc.....The usual response from most people is" been there, done that" "I'll Pass".....
No one in our group had been to Zimbali and only a couple of us heard about it....we were apprehensive to say the least.....our group ranged from older to younger....single to couples...professionals to unemployed!!!! lol!!
I was extremely worried I might have let one or two people down if not the whole group!!! That perhaps some would think they never got their moneys worth....wasted their day....
Let me say, worrying is paying a price for a debt not due!!!! Truer words have never been spoken!!
Shortly after our arrival, my thoughts changed to "if anyone doesn't like it here or can't enjoy themselves...that's their problem"
Everyone thanked me for taking them there, making the arrangements, making the suggestion....making that day the highlight of their trip.....the "best day of her life" one of the girls said, and she has traveled quite a bit!
Excellent people at the Zimbali!!! Good food! Good drink! Nice drive!!
We spoke with Mark prior to our arrival and he arranged for all of us to be picked up at our different hotels in Negril by 2 small buses and we all arrived together....no issues...no worries...everything went as planned!!!!
Thanks Mark!! Alicia.....what a great spirit you have and are!!
P.S. Mark,we arrived back home safe and sound with our new hammock that Francine made us and was able to get ready literally hours before we had to head to the airport....we've been looking for a hammock like that for years!!!! Icing on the proverbial cake!!!

“Probably should be 4 and half stars!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

We visited Zimbali a few nights ago and truly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately it was raining hard when we arrived so we were not able to do the farm tour and if we had we might have rated this even higher. From what we could see Mark and Alicia (the owners) have built a place of true beauty. A real paradise for them and their family.
Regarding the "cooking show", the two chefs really tried hard to entertain us, but also teach us a few things as well. The food was fresh, local and cooked well. I don't know if what they served us is what is typical, but it wasn't typical food or presentation. It was definitely a step above! The best item I was served was the refreshing and tasty cucumber and ginger drink that was served upon arrival...not to diminish the food that was served.
Although we didn't get the farm tour we were lucky to be there on a night when two drummers put on a truly amazing show! I don't know if they play elsewhere, but I'm sure Mark and Alicia can tell you.
Mark- do email me so we can talk about spices and cocoa and seeing what we can do together.

“You won't be disappointed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

If you think about your top few days of your life and what made them special, you will write the story of your day at Zimbali. Every detail is taken care of in a most special way. From the farm tour by GiGi, to the professionals giving you body treatments, to the chefs preparing the best meal you have eaten on the island. It is all unbelieveably great. It is local, farm to table, organic, and healthy food presented in a fantastic way. You leave the farm refreshed, well fed, and feel as if you have many new friends. Make time for this on your trip and get away from the tourist areas to experience this memorable place.

“Group had a blast!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

I just sent a group of 18 people from my company to Zimbali and the reviews from everyone are fantastic! They could not say enough amazing things about the entire experience. "The property is amazing", "The farm is so nice and it was so cool to see where the fruits and vegetables were grown", "The meal was prepared right in front of us and everything was so fresh and delicious".... there are just a few of the comments given to my by the group. I have to say I am pretty jealous! The owners Mark and Alicia could not be more wonderful! I cannot wait to go to Negril and visit Zimbali. Absolutely a must do in Negril. There are so many touristy things in Negril, this experience is truly one of a kind!

“This place is beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

7.5 acre all organic farm. Great farm to table meal, cool little bar and rooms to stay in. The owners are very friendly. The experience of getting there is half the fun, you get to see 'real' Jamaica, not just the touristy parts.
