We planned to go to white island just after having coffee in the morning. That was still 6 o'clock and it could have been ideal. We thought we should make a reservation first before we can get a banca,.. we did. and it took us more than an hour waiting for our turn. Little did we realized that there were lots of motorized banca in the shoreline waiting for tourist to go across.
Normally, getting to white island would only take 10 mins on calm water from the beaches of Yumbing. But for us, it took a little longer as we had to go through rough seas and big waves. My 11 year old daughter and I got really scared of the waves. Thanks to the skilled guy manning the banca and brought us safely ashore. The banca charges P80 pesos and an additional misc.fee for P20, a total of 100/person. Fare already includes going back to Yumbing.
White Island is genuinely beautiful, with its very fine white sand and clear inviting waters. Sun is so hot as there were no trees, no shades, totally inhabited island. One should have anything to shield from the blaring sun. Getting into the waters is perfect to cool down the heat. White Island is perfect for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling.
White Island is a perfect beauty, white sand, clear waters with Mt. Hibok Hibok at the backdrop.
