5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

We had the most amazing time at this beautiful resort, the staff were great, the accommodation was lovely and very comfy and the food was absolutely incredible. I've been to lots of spa resorts and the spa treatments I had were some of the best ever, really excellent therapists. There have been some comments on here about sandbags and there are some but they don't spoil the holiday experience, you are an idiot if you go somewhere like this and don't expect there will be some erosion, we are all responsible for climate change!

We stayed for our honeymoon in July. The water villas were stunning. Arrival by airplane was an experience :-/ the staff greeting us were so welcoming. The island was beautiful you should definitely have a wander about :-) though you may be tempted to just hide away in your villa. In July it is monsoon season so it rained lots and several of the trips were cancelled. We even had a flood into our room at 5am but it all added to our memories. Would definitely recommend this location. There has been soon damage to one side of the island so some villas were not in use and there were lots of sand bags that some people found unsightly but we felt they were just trying to protect their Island.

We were in Coco Palm DK end of November 2013 and we were very pleased with the resort and the facilities. Level of service was exceptional, food excellent, plenty of activities kept us amused throughout our stay (we were on AI). Our beach villa was located on the north side of the island, which gave us the best access to snorkelling. It was a brilliant holiday - we highly recommend it.

Room Tip: best snorkelling on the north of the island

Quite possibly the best holiday we have ever been on.

The service we received from Angelfish was truly exceptional - from initial advice to last minute queries - they were superb and highly recommended. True experts.

The hotel and staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating and we had the trip of a lifetime.

We cannot wait to call Angelfish again for our next trip!

We had a wonderful two weeks in a luxury beach chalet. On reflection though we did not use the plunge pool that much and an ordinary beach chalet would have been just as good. The island environment is incredibly relaxing and in fact my partner who was stressed from work slept almost solidly for the first two days. The snorkelling trip was really brilliant and the Italian Marine expert who led it impressed us with both her knowledge of, and passion for, marine life. We also met Guffaw[ not sure on the spelling but I remembered it by laughter connotations ] the island CEO who took us on a really interesting tour of the workings and mechanics of the place . My husband is an engineer so is always fascinated by generators and stuff but I also found it interesting so see how the place functioned practically and to see how well the staff, who charmed us constantly, were accommodated themselves. We did sight dolphins in the Dolphin Boat Trip but honestly, why pay for this as they often swam past us as we walked early morning on the beach.
We went half board and we calculated that, as we are not heavy drinkers and we don't eat lunch this was the better option for us. Alcohol is very expensive so if it is a large part of you holiday fun it would be better to go all inclusive.

Room Tip: Ask not to be given a room which has sand bags on its beach area.

Unbeatable value for money.

Ocean villas, secluded, good services, glass clear water, snorkeling and fishing........

Ideal for honey mooners, couples or just to chill out, write a book or revive......

Room Tip: Choose the rooms where you can watch TV and Movies from your bed.

This is a wonderful place. The island is ridiculously beautiful, the diving is great (and the dive instructors are really good), the food is all absolutely delicious and the staff are polite and extremely helpful. The rooms are incredibly well presented too.

On our last day we had a bit of a problem because the sea planes were having operational problems thus delaying our return flight. At which point the staff jumped into action: they let us stay overnight in the best villa in the hotel, they made sure we got on the very first available flight off the island and once we were in Male they even phoned us at the airport hotel to make sure we were ok for the international flight.

The fact that they respond this well when something goes wrong (even though it's not their fault) tells you everything you need to know about this place. It's magical.
