Great resort..very easy to reach from the airport..the welcome is warm..but you have fore ur room as the check in time is 2 pm if u reach early...personal butler service is very good...the villas..they are absolutely out of this world..fabulous..n extremely beautiful n romantic..the plunge pool in the villa sweeps you under your feet..n the bathroom is huge..never seen such a magnificent bathroom..has tv,jacuzzi, glass flooring n much more..food is also of high quality..the only irritating thing is that u get the same waiter every time..n ours was very annoying..overall a great place for a short romantic holiday..

I stayed at another sister report to Vadoo for 4 nights and only spent 1 night at this (Vadoo) resort, i wish i had not come to this island as it was nothing as good as the Adaaran Prestige Water Villa resort. The food, drinks, service, SPA all lacked for a 5 star resort. I guess if you come to this island only and don't visit any other island than you will like it.

I must admit i was given the honeymoon suite for my 1 night stay and that suite was amazing, probably the best i've seen yet. The facilities in this room were also great with some really good views out into the sea and the island

this is slightly overdue. stayed for 3 nights during nov 12 for honeymoon. its a very calm relaxing place. away from the hectic world. staffs were all very very friendly and nice. even our personal butler is very approachable. its a small island with beautiful scenery. saw alot of manta rays and other cute pretty fishes. wifi is available in the library. breakfast menu is the same everyday. lunch and dinner was ok. we paid for the all in package. so no other additional fees charged. made alot of friends. some of them are in my fb list. lol! room is spacious. comfy bed and room is clean.
dislike: the open toilet. (very open) lol.
like most: the scenery and private pool.

Room Tip: choose the one with the seaview. nice scenery!

It is a quite small island. we stayed in french style room. However the water access was not available, somehow in construction, which was a pity. The breakfast there was amazing. Dun expect too much for the lunch and dinner.

Let me start by saying that if you only ever visited one island in the Maldives and this was the island you visited you would think it was reasonably good. However, if you have been to a high quality island then you will quickly realize how poor Adaaran Prestige Vadoo is.

My wife and I planned to stay here for 5 nights during our honeymoon. Within hours of arrival we were talking about leaving and going to another island, however I though we were being overly precious and so we decided to stay for two nights to give the island a proper chance. In the end I couldn't take it anymore, so engaged in a series of conversations that lasted over 6 hours to get a refund for our remaining 3 nights.

Allow me to list a few things wrong with our experience:
1) The welcome feels awkward and stilted, as if the island has never had guests before.
2) The restaurant is a single big building set back from the beach and ocean - you do not feel like you are eating on a tropical island.
3) The island has a lovely English garden - but what is an English garden doing on a tropical island? I came for palm trees, not box hedges.
4) The rooms are completely worn out. The wooden flooring sags heavily under foot causing you to feel uneasy that you might fall through onto the reef at any given second. The carpet under the bed is worn, torn and stained. The wardrobe doors have automatic lights, but because the doors don't close properly the lights are always on (so I had to remove the light globes). The rollers for the blinds are broken so once you open them you best leave them there. The plunge pool had broken and missing tiles. The day bed had a big stain on it in the shape of a person (yuk!) There is no umbrella or option for shade on your deck - making the day bed essentially useless unless you want to burn (when I asked for an umbrella I was told that there were none available for guest use and because they weren't pictured on the website I couldn't expect one). The deck is painted with dark brown paint which gets very hot in the sun and burns your feet. The water pressure in the shower is really low - good luck getting that shampoo out of your hair. It also means filling up the jacoozi takes hours.
5) The staff almost never smile. They don't acknowledge you, and they don't seem happy to be at work. This is a bigger downer than I would have expected.
6) The waiters also rarely smile. The waiters uniform is worn out - all their white collars were dirty and ripped. It is a tropical island - no need for white shirts and bowties, you can dress your staff 'island chic'!
7) The all inclusive cocktails have a very limited range - there are 3 to choose from, none of which were particularly good.
8) The generator is very noisy. We visited 4 islands in total and this was the only island where the generator was even audible, yet at Adaaran it is a constant droning noise - forget the sound of the ocean.
9) The umbrellas on the beach are all torn - maybe 1 or 2 actually worked,
10) For some weird reason the staff put crumby old snorkeling gear on all the day beds on the beach to 'reserve' them so you have to ask permission (like a child) to use them.
11) The pool fails on many levels. Firstly, the attendant is more like a security guard trying to prevent people from using the pool. You can't wear your shoes/slippers on the decking around the pool, yet because it is painted black it will burn your feet. You must shower before using the pool - even if you just came from your room having just showered. He doesn't want to give you towels, won't give you any extras, and the towels you do get are small, old and ripped. He keeps the towels locked in a cupboard - god forbid a guest paying $1000/night wants to grab a second towel! There are no umbrellas and no shade for the day beds around the pool. If you try to drag a day bed under a palm tree for shade the security guard (aka pool attendant) will tell you off and say that if you get hit by a coconut it isn't his fault (maybe they could PRUNE away the coconuts so we could sit under them....) No snorkeling gear on the pool decking (even if rinsed first). No waiters near to pool to bring you drinks - you have to go to the bar on the other side of the island and carry them back yourself.
12) The baboo fence around your deck is see through - they are not very private.
13) You are so close to Male that you won't see many stars (d/t light pollution) and you will have a constant stream of jet aircraft flying over head - just the feeling you were looking for.
14) The beach volleyball court is apparently for staff use only.
15) Half the island has a view of an industrial island with a big plume of smoke.
16) You always have the same waiter - so make him happy otherwise you will always have crap service. Remember, you are there to keep him happy, not the other way round.
17) The dive center looked old and dodgy.
18) The allocated area for snorkeling is about 30m long... with fins on I can swim this in a few seconds.
19) Don't think that putting up the 'do not disturb' sign on your door will prevent the staff from wondering in - they simply ignore it.

Having said all of the above, there were a few good points:
The reef has a good supply of colorful fish
The food is ok (not great, but ok)
The view from a room facing south or west is nice
Breakfast on your deck is very nice
Watching the island disappear on the horizon as you leave on a high speed boat!

As I said, if you only ever visited this island you would think it was good. But please, do yourself a favour and book elsewhere. For USD$1000/night you can go to fantastic places, do not settle for this.

Room Tip: If you must stay here either stay in a honeymoon villa or a sunset (west facing) villa.

We went to Adaaran Prestige Vadoo for our anniversary celebrations. Everything was fantastic. Water villas were clean and spacious. Very private and it was just the sound of the ocean. Staff were very friendly. The butler, waiters, life guard, buggy driver, reception staff... Everyone was very friendly and provides excellent service.

One point to note was that this hotel offers All Inclusive prices. But the food and drinks menus are very limited and served at only a couple of designated places. Anything out of this set up is chargeable and prices are quite high. Make sure to talk to your butler and other staff for more info before you order. If not things can be fairly expensive. If you want they will arrange a private dinner (chargeable) on the beach in a beautiful set up.

The island has a beautiful coral reef and plenty of colourful fish, turtles, stingrays and shark. You can borrow snorkels and flippers from the dive centre FOC. But I suggest you take your own as the hotel equipment are fairly old and dirty. Make sure you get into water during high tide to avoid damaging corals and you can end up getting nasty and painful cuts too. Talk to the life guard (Kumar) and he will give plenty of snorkelling tips and sometimes might join you for a dive. It's a MUST you carry a waterproof camera - my investment was well worth it.

PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON CORALS. They need to be preserved for others who will go after you.

Overall the resort was awesome and we really enjoyed our short stay there.

I recommend the main bar where you can get your cocktails since 10:00 am to 00:00 everyday, cool!!
the island quite small so there's not thing much to do...but i love it
For the restaurant ask for nah-la, he's super friendly and you will get the best service in the world

Room Tip: For Sunrise Villa -Faceing to velassaru island, but the good thing is not much coral reefs you can...
