“excellent find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2010

Choose this b and b last minute when I felt that a trip from a wedding in Chester back home to Coventry would take too long. I have to say it was one of the nicesest b&b's I've stayed in. Rooms were comfy with plenty of little touches.

Initially I was daunted that the palce was on a main road and that earplugs had been supplied. not to fear they werent needed and it was a very comfortable nights sleep.
When I returned to my room after the wedding I was plesantly surprised to find that there had been a turndown service.

Breakfast was delishious and there was a good choice for veggies. Shame I couldnt have stayed longer and sampled some of teh delights from the restaurant.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2010

I stayed for one night recently. My colleagues had stayed for several nights a few months ago and let me know that I was going to enjoy the stay.

The location is very easy to get to. It is on a roundabout where the A41 disects the A53 in Shropshire. The parking is in what was, probably, the coachyard 100 years ago. There is ample room. There are only 5 rooms. It is worth emphasising that this is a restaurant that happens to have set up 5 rooms for overnight accommodation.

The rooms are named, rather than numbered. Each is individual and special. This is a five star establishment. The bed was really comfortable, the room spotless, the tea/coffee etc. excellent. Breakfast must be ordered the night before. It is a fairly straightforward form unless you want something out of the ordinary.

I did not get to have a meal at the restaurant because they are closed on a Sunday night. However, my colleagues did eat there during their previous visit. I am comfortable with reporting their very positive response to the meals they received as fact.

There is a small dog. It is docile to the point of comatose. The attention from the staff was friendly and efficient without being overbearing. The building is lovely, the room I had was great. My colleagues speak of this establishment in similarly glowing terms based on their different rooms.

Would I recommend this place ? Do you need to ask ?
