We have eaten at the Cafe des Arts several times now - we usually go there after we have been to the Friday morning market. We always have their menu du jour, plus a couple of good 'pressions' as our aperitifs. I realised that I haven't ever done a reviewof this restauarnt for Trip advisor, so am now putting this right. Our last time here was in late August. The ambience of the place is great - very La Belle Epoque (I think that is the term, but could just be Art Deco, what do I know?). Anyway the decor is dark, interesting and seems very original in the interior. The exterior has a a good covered eating area and a small rustic courtyard. The staff are always professional and helpful. The food is fresh, simply prepared and excellent value and we usually have a pichet of local red wine to accompany it, and that too is always good. At our last visit we had two of their seasonal beers at 2,80€ each, two menu de jour at 12, 40€ each, 50 cl of Anjou rouge at 6, 30€ and two coffees to stop us falling asleep later! A total of 40,80€ for two hours of relaxing, world-watching and good food - bargain.
