“Perfect stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Stayed two nights in the club villa. Well furnished spacious room with large swimming pool - much larger than expected - with great ocean view. We also enjoyed the quiet and tranquil night, gazing the stars and fireflies. Free drinks and breakfast were also A+. Owners are very much attentioned in details with the services. Nothing that I want to complain about. Definitely will re-visit for next time.

The owners are young Japanese couples. They are extremely helpful and provide exceptional services. Breakfast was very very delicious, all made from local food.

The house was pretty with a lovely pool, only two rooms for rent and both are spacious.

I would highly recommend even a little bit expensive for the rate. However totally worth

from booking to departure from amarta, the staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. kanemoto-san booked car rental (recommended--bikes would take forever to get anywhere) and made wonderful dinner suggestions and reservations. the husband prepares the breakfasts which are absolutely delicious, both western and jpns. they use local ingredients and the flavors are so well done and were our favorite meals on the island. hiroshi-san was exceptionally nice as well. the lodging is a bit out of the way and provides a wonderful relaxing and serene getaway. lazy lounging poolside with oceanviews. the rooms are bright and beautifully done. the room includes soda, beer, water and awamori. laundry wash is available with drying rack in room. we delayed some of our island sightseeing so we could hang out and enjoy the room. absolutely peaceful setting, love the aloha music. even if not an overnight guest, dining on the terrace with a gentle breeze is absolutely wonderful. great place to catch sunset. perfect. loved it.

Room Tip: one room has a garden, one room faces the ocean. even tho oceanside room patio is open to public acc...

The Amarta is a beautiful, boutique resort in paradise offering well appointed rooms and service that is second to none. Situated in Miyakojima, an island known for its pristine beaches, the resort is a wonderful place for a luxury getaway. The resort has beautiful Balinese style rooms and a swimming pool and terrace overlooking the ocean. With Hawaiian music floating through the air each morning, one can truly relax at this resort.
The most impressive aspect of the Amarta is the service. Local foods are served daily with breakfast, providing a taste of the unique Okinawan cuisine. The owners also make every effort to create a seamless holiday for their guests, booking rental cars (strongly recommended), restaurants and day trips. With such personalised service, we were able to experience Miyakojima at its best.
If you're looking for a little bit of luxury in paradise, this is the place for you!

Room Tip: Note that there are two rooms, one with ocean views, the other garden views and a separate, ultra lu...

We stated at the Amarta in November, we had booked into another apartment nearby but were very disappointed so the owners kindly helped us find the Amarta. It is an idyllic resort with incredibly friendly service and stunningly good, locally source food. This would make a perfect gateway for honeymooners.

The owners went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, including driving us to the shops, telling us about the area, recommending, booking and driving us to an amazing restaurant in town.

Luxury!

My husband and I spent 4 days at The Amarta, a small boutique resort (2 rooms only) owned by a very friendly and helpful young Japanese couple. The place is the perfect destination if you're looking for peace and relaxation away from it all. The rooms are bright and clean, nicely decorated and furnished with South-East asian furniture. There is a beautiful bathroom area.
Breakfasts (choice is between continental and japanese) are generous and delicious.
There is a lovely swimmingpool and a relaxing and beautiful terrace vith nice views of the sea.
As the hotel is a 10 minutes' drive from the city centre, you'd best hire a car to get around.
Closest beach is awesome Sunayama beach, reachable by bike in 5 minutes.
