“Peaceful place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Well appointed rooms with all the facilities you would need on either a business or pleasure trip. Rooms are fantastic with a small kitchen so you make your own breakfast in the comfort of your room. Will certainly come back here.

Stayed here on business with my boss, so I had the opportunity to compare thoughts on this hotel with him as he stayed in a separate building at this hotel.

Check in was fast and very friendly; we didn't experience any of the rudeness previous reviewers have mentioned. During the check in process the clerk called for a ride for us to our rooms, and by the time we completed check in the driver was there. Again, our shuttle driver was a very friendly employee who was anxious to prove that the service at The Blue was top notch.

I was in Building 12; my boss was in building 15. They are nearly a half mile from the main lobby, so not having a car put us at a disadvantage for using any of the amenities at the main building (fitness center, restaurant, etc.). As my boss discovered, there are no vending machines in the buildings. You want a Coke, you call room service and pay $5.

The rooms were quite large and clean. The bathroom was amazing, and I really appreciated the shower with the rainshower shower head after a long workout. However, the lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim.

The TV was large but had few channels - not even sure if any were in HD.

My biggest complaint about the stay was the bed. The mattress was thin and quite lumpy; when I rolled over at night it felt like I was rolling uphill or downhill depending on the direction. My boss said he had no such issues with his bed, so I'm at a loss as to why this mattress was so poor in this room. The bed was also low to the floor; almost as low as a futon. If you have trouble bending down or getting up from the floor, this bed could be a challenge.

The fitness center was clean, but the equipment was older than most that I've seen at other hotels. Again, it was located in the second floor of the main building, so it was a bit of a walk to get to my workout (rather ironic). Yes, I could have called for a shuttle ride, but then I would have felt obligated to tip the driver, and that just didn't feel right when I was simply trying to work up a sweat.

Check out was smooth, and again we had eager drivers waiting to take us back to the lobby.

During one of those shuttle rides we were told that the hotel had just been sold. That could explain some of the issues I experienced, as new investments into the property may be delayed while the sale is finalized.

Having also stayed at the Trump property next door on a previous business trip, I can say that the Hyatt Miami at The Blue is seriously trailing the Trump overall in quality and comfort.

Room Tip: If you don't have a car, ask for a room up to Building 7. The last building is Building 15 and...

This is the 4th year running we have stayed at the hotel for the golf. The staff there on the whole are excellent and cannot do enough to help you. Special mention needs to be made to the restaurant staff in the chophouse who were amazing as usual. The only let down on this visit was the reception staff who really let the hotel down on this stay. They were rude and one was beyond challenging!!! This is the first time this has happened and we would not let it stop us revisiting but feel the hotel need to address this. All the concierges are great guys and again were willing to assist . Will be back next year hope we have a warmer welcome from the front desk !!!

This location is close to a sister company and has quickly become the chosen favourite when visiting this area of Miami. The apartment (you can't really call it a room) is spacious and is equipped with everything you need including wifi and a view of the golf course. Parking is right outside the accommodation. The place is comfortable and quiet and you get a good night's sleep on the monster bed.
We sometimes use the on-site bar and restaurant where the service is friendly and the food pretty good. A buffet breakfast is also served in this area. For those who don't like a long stroll to breakfast then make sure you ask to get an apartment closer to reception.

Room Tip: If you don't like the walk to reception try to get into buildings 1 to 8. The higher the numbe...

We had a good stay at the Hyatt. The room was very spacious, the parking was right in front of the unit, and the room was quiet and clean. There are a few restaurants around to choose from. We ate at the hotel only on one day and the food was very good. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials, and is quite useful when you have young kids. We were traveling with an infant, and the hotel staff very thoughtfully provided us with a small "baby bath" pack We didn't end up using it, but it was a very nice gesture regardless.

They also accept shipped packages on your behalf (which is good if you are traveling from overseas), but be aware that there is a $7 charge per package.

We didn't have a view of the golf course, but we didn't ask for it and we didn't care much because we were out most of the time. If it is important to you, you should ask at the time of reservation.

Staff is courteous and polite. The pool is nice, not small but not huge either. I can only imagine that it becomes extremely crowded during the busy season.

We were about 25-35 minutes from most points of interest: Miami Zoo, Seaquarium, Sawgrass Mill mall, Miami Design District, Fort Lauderdale. Dolphin Mall is quite close by.
The things that we Didn't like:
- the curtains were awful, they kept falling off. I am not quite sure how they are designed, but if they fixed, the other one came off.
- the faucet in the bathtub was faulty. Fortunately, we used it very rarely so it was not a huge issue for us.

Overall, we had a good stay.

We had a great weekend the week before the PGA event. The suites were great and the staff was outstanding. I would stay there anytime. It was a great value. Every room has a view of the course and the. Outdoor bar was great.

In April this year we stayed overnight while waiting to board our cruise ship the next day. This is the second time staying here, we are a family of 6 and the 3 bedrooms suited us all well (must say we did not use any of the hotels pool ect) The rooms are super large clean and comfortable. The beds have wonderfully comfortable pillows and are large. (King queen doubles),. Coffee machine in the room are good too. We did use room service which we felt was reasonable. Hope to and will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Great for families as has 3 bedroom condo rooms!

We are pleased that you enjoyed the amenities of our Three Bedroom Villa. They are indeed very spacious and are well suited for large families.

You feedback is very important to us and we certainly appreciate you taking the time to rate our Property. We hope you will continue to choose the Hyatt Miami at the Blue and look forward to your return.
