Quite a hike from parking lot to Sam's, so better bring a backpack than a suitcase :)
Drenched in sweat, we find the restaurant is charming, looking out to the river and cliffs. The room is quaint, clean, and have this homey feeling. The rattan couch and hammock is a bit worn out, but doesn't matter to me.
The owner's recommend us many things, and even offered me a mosquitos spray when we go up and want to view orang utan (and you better take it, because the mosquitos are all mean!). She literally scream to the rangers to take us to the viewing across the river! And that's just to show you how eager they are to please the guests.
The river was a symphony of greens with all those little waves of the rocks.
We had great food at the restaurants, the juices are good, served always with hibiscus (I find the white ones are beautiful!).
Room had a beautiful and clean open air bathroom, just expect a few spectators when you have your afternoon bath (but they just want to watch, no harm done :))
At night, a bit disturbed, as a cafe down there had a band, but we can always take a nap :P
The important thing about the room is NEVER EVER bring opened food when it's night time, better ask the owner to keep it for you than to bring it to your room, or you will hear neverending mice's activities and voices, looking for food! Again, no harm done, but better be safe :)
Will definitely stay here again, and will have those trekking and masssages!
