Check in is a little slow with only one person manning the counter. The room is nice, spacious, bed is comfortable. Toilet is ok except hot water for bathing doesn't work in the morning. Shaver not provided and there's a sticker stating IDR 10k per piece. Even budget hotel doesn't place the price like that. At the lobby, they put a local musical instrument and also put a price next to it. Slowly u will feel the hotel is like a night market.

Anyhow there's a huge potential that this could be the best hotel in kupang. In terms of rooms, they are the best among all in kupang. Breakfast needs improvement.
No omelette counter. No fork and spoon on the table. Limited choices of food.

We would like to inform you that Superior room was the lowest category room at a promotional price where there will be an additional charge for bathroom amenities (shaver). We recommend you to stay in a deluxe room at no extra cost for bathroom amenities. And also we put the local musical instrument to attract the guest if they interest, they can contact our Front Office Staff.
We apologize for your breakfast experience and we will do our part to make the improvements immediately. Your comments are extremely important to us to do better in the future. We do hope that you can visit us again soon, and we have a chance to meet you and ensure you are delighted to stay with us. Thank you.

this is my second stay in aston kupang.

very clean room + tidy.
great design with minimalist decor
amazing view since i choose 12th floor with sea view direct to the sea

wifi is not working so well,when i asked the reception say might be because the occoupancy is high so the wifi is not working.for me is silly answer?this is mean the IT team doesnt prepare it good.

i asked the room service,i order just fries.and what i get is very poor presentation.what a pitty such ASTON hotel can not make nice presentation just the fries.the serve only with pepper and sauce.

since i told this is my second stay,but i dont see any progress of swimming pool/pool side.as i mention ASTON is nice hotel but shame no pool inside.

i stay on early july 2014, and they are still working on their pool and they room price is changing quickly, when i booked in the morning, the marketing said the superior room available and i booked for 9 room, but an hour later i contacted again to book another room, the other staff said superior room was fully booked. and i have to upgrade to deluxe room. although the staff is nice, but i was disturbed by the noise of the construction work. need a lot of improvement to be considered as luxurious hotel, but overall i can say the best hotel in kupang though.

I recently spent two separate weeks at the Aston. The first week was one week after it opened. They were still adding decals to doors and working on the pool and laundry. I didn't have hot water, but maintenance came in a fixed the problem promptly. The food was not particularly good given the high price for the area and drinks had a price comparable to the most exclusive bars in Waikiki. Way too high for the region. I came back 3 weeks later. The pool was still not finished, but there were some decorative improvements to the hotel. In-room wifi was not good enough yo do anything, but the wifi in the lobby was good. The bathroom my second time seemed to be growing mold already. Laundry service was still abysmal. Given the introductory rates, it wasn't bad for the price, but still needs much work to be considered a luxury hotel. The customer service was excellent and the workers were all very sweet. Fitness center was not complete either.

Staying here for 5 days, definitely the best hotel on kupang. It was brand new hotel. Breakfast with many choices, but taste need improvement. View from bfast area was very nice, unfortunately if you walk forward, you will see local fish market. Room was simple, clean, central aircon (very cool), bed/pillow very comfy. Staffs mostly on average skills as i believes still on trainee. Few dust on the room floor, especially on corner, need attention for house keeping.
Hopefully quality will even better after grand opening.

It was a new hotel in town. The lobby was nice and clean. To get to your room, you have to swipe your key room and dont even bother to press the room floor because it was automatically once u swipe your key. The room was scent with green tea; which is nice for me, personally. The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, their facilities were not finished yet until june 2014 (if i'm not mistaken). Overall, it was pleasant staying at this hotel for me.

This hotel has an option at breakfast to order Illy coffee, a brand I like and often buy to make at home. It costs an extra Rp 15,000 but seemed fair. The coffee tasted a bit odd but I wrote it off to poor barista skills. Then I see them pouring in local coffee beans to mix with the Illy. What a scam! I asked them about it and they insisted it is "same as Illy" but I pointed out it is Indonesian. Just because same distributor sells it does not make it the same. We left feeling cheated. Rooms were ok but they dripped paint on windows when they built it so the ocean view is through a dirty window.
