Easy to get to yet feel so removed from the hectic pace of life. Melanie and Garrett are wonderful hosts, making you feel welcomed from the moment you step through the door. Beautiful setting on the river, minutes from Elora and Fergus, this setting is a true get away. We have been back three times and plan many more returns. The food is exquisite, the setting peaceful and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Thank you.

My boyfriend and i were looking for a relaxing weekend in the countryside not too far from Toronto. Many people had recommended Elora and they weren't wrong! If you don't drive in rush hour, it's just an hour and a half door to door and and you are in the middle of beautiful countryside with the lovely villages of Elora and Fergus providing great attractions in the form of beautiful architecture and interesting galleries and a great community feel. The 3 Bears was the perfect location. Unlike many of the other B&Bs in the area, you're really away from it all. The river at the bottom of the garden is simply beautiful. The house itself is just gorgeous. Melanie and Garrett have created a stunning home with inspiring attention to detail. They are the perfect hosts - we were greeted with a glass of bubbly which was just perfect after the drive. We chose the Big Bear room as it has a door directly leading to the garden which was just perfect. And the fact that we woke up to snow on our first morning was the best surprise ever! It was so beautiful. Breakfasts were out of this world and Melanie and Garrett got the balance absolutely perfect - helpful at all times but also providing space. I can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be coming back and I recommend it to anybody seeking a weekend of relaxation and luxury.

Room Tip: Big Bear room was wonderful with the door leading straight to the garden

Spent two nights with my partner at the Baby Bear. Was looking for a romantic location with Queen size bed close to Elora and this is the spot. Garden is very nice, spacious with river rolling by and Gorge right in front of you. It had some geese and ducks but that might just be lucky timing. The host Garrett was alone due to circumstances - he's a wonderful chef de cuisine and takes good care of his guests. Breakfast was a treat and we had a chance to connect with the other guests. 3 Bears has various rooms and a pool table for people that have a multi-night stay and get bored? WIFI etc all good. Restaurants very close - the Indian place in Fergus is probably the best. I cannot think of anything we didn't like. Well worth the money.

I am from Scotland and am lucky enough to have 2good friends who treated me to this fantastic break. B&B was first class. The food was superb and Garrett and Melanie even gave me a couple of their recipes. If you are looking to de-stress then look no further. I would definitely go back again. Thank you both for your hospitality.

My wife and I wish to thank Garrett and Melanie for helping us replace the Elora Festival tickets we had left back home. Our hosts went out of their way by contacting the festival, picking up the replacement tickets and having them ready for us upon our return to our room. This is an example of their willingness to go "above and beyond" as is echoed throughout the numerous positive reviews on this site. As for the accomodations and the food,...you will want for nothing. They have set the standard for excellence. Merci beaucoup Garrett et Melanie.

3 Bears is a beautiful jewel of a B&B in a lovely area. The garden slopes down to the gently murmuring river - what a wonderful place to shed the stresses of city life! Garrett and Melanie were very friendly and hospitable and the gourmet cuisine was quite exceptional. A truly special experience.

3Bears Bed and Breakfast: I am unable to find all the words to adequately describe the exceptional experience I enjoyed when I stayed at this elegant and charming B&B. Garrrett and Melanie spare no effort and worked tirelessly to keep me comfortable and happy during my stay. The rooms are charmingly appointed and "bear" the names Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear. I have stayed with the Klassens on four separate occasions and each time they have impressed me more and more. The grounds are simply beautiful, with stone stairs that lead you to fabulous gardens and, just a few short steps beyond, the Grand River for the trout fishing enthusiast. The river is the focus of the area, providing both ambience and excellent fishing. Brown trout lurk in its depths, with many exceeding 20 inches in length.
And let's not forget the second "B" in B&B. The breakfast prepared by Garrett and served by Melanie and him is truly gourmet, breath-taking in its presentation and delightfully satisfying to the tastebuds. While seated at the breakfast table, I was treated to a panoramic view of the grounds and the Grand. The Grand River, exceptional hospitality, mouth-watering breakfast with visual appeal, host and hostess who treat you better than family: with all of these things and more, there is no reason not to stay at 3Bears for a night, a weekend, a week. Oh, yes, I'll be back as often as possible.
