“worth a return visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

My husband and I recent stopped in Elora late afternoon on a cool rainy Sunday. While most retails were just closing up, the Cellar was just reopening for dinner. The menu was appealing so we stayed for dinner. The wine list was uninspiring but at least there was a Charadonney.
We started with the spinach salad and soup of the day(squash with apple-delisious!). A couple Thai dishes were tempting but we settled on a steak and the salmon - both very good. The server was friendly though we were the only customers, we had to pour our own wine and the dirty dishes were slow to clear. Overall an enjoyable dinner definatley worth a return .

“Overall a very nice atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

If you ask me where to go to find consistently good food and good service in Elora this is it. With the other "nicer" places to eat, the Cellar is reliably good.

“A Great Place to Spend a Sunny Afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

We recently had lunch on the backyard patio at The Cellar. The restaurant was reccomended. By. The lovely guide at the Tourist Office. We werentt disappointed. The atmosphere (facing the Gorge) was relaxing and charming. The service was prompt and efficient; the staff very pleasant and engaging. it may have felt a bit slow if we had been in a hurry. There was a good variety of beers on tap and they were cold when served. The food was well presented and very tasty. If you're a soup lover, we highly reccomend the roasted red pepper and tomato soup. Pricing was well within the expected range. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable visit and can't wait to return.

“Only the view would bring us back.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Planned a late summer patio dinner for our family - an important anniversary. Lovely evening, great view and nice server. From there on things were mediocre. A restaurant to high priced for what was provided. Had to ask for water, no lovely little breads to begin and no dishes or glasses were removed as the dinner progressed. Between us we tried 75% of the menu and not one item was identified as "this is this awesome". It generally felt like an overpriced, poor quality meal. Pork tenderloin was pink, beans not just fashionably crunchy, but closer to raw. The foods arrived apart so that as we waited for the others to receive theirs - the ones out became cold. it did not appear home prepared with flavours or textures, but rather felt like packages opened and served. No dessert or coffee - decided to head home and have a real banquet.

“Always Leave Happy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Had lunch at the Cellar earlier this week. Service was friendly and the food was very good. The Cellar is one of the few restaurants I can honestly say I have never left unhappy.
