I had a lovely break for a week here. The hotel offered everything I had hoped for, and it was difficult to fault. I travelled on my own with Saga, as my wife isn't allowed to fly this far. But there were some truly marvellous folk in our group and I quickly made friends. Fez, the Saga rep was the best rep I have had on any holiday. His humour was infectious and he was like a little firework on the dance floor
Entrance lobby - spacious and luxurious. Bar - large and comfortable if you have long legs which I don't
Bedroom. Large and very comfortable bed. Lovely spacious balcony.
Dining room enormous. Conferences in progress throughout my stay, but the delegates were not allowed to use the bar, so no queuing problems. Food - lots of choice. Usual problem for me that food was not hot enough nor were the plates. But its the same in Spain. Surprise,surprise, the wine was very drinkable - the red and rose anyway.
The grounds are enormous and lead to the beach and sea. The waves most afternoons were quite spectacular, crashing into the pebbly beach. Because of the mountain behind the hotel, the sun disappeared by 4.30. Outside the hotel there were a few small supermarkets and shops, looking a bit run down. But to be honest, I hardly spent any money at all, as the deal was AI
Staff were in my experience friendly and helpful. To wake at 7.00 with the sun blazing onto the balcony did me a world of good. Back to the reality of the UK with wild wet weather.
A lot of Saga guests were on a special three week deal offering superb value.
Would I come again ? Yes
I had a third floor room that was bright and overlooked the sea and pool, but it lost the sun about...
