“In reply to Mr Shahab”

Seagull Hotel

The policy at the Seagull Hotel, is to allow all guest to comment on their stay as they feel fit - and we welcome all comments good and bad.

However, as the gentleman felt duty bound to name a member of staff in his review, then we felt that we should correct the gentleman and to comment on his critism of his stay at the Seagull Hotel.

Firstly we would like to point out that " Miss Yasemin" is not a Director of the hotel, but the Reservation manager for our establishment.

It is agreed, that Mıss Yasemin, informed the gentleman that he was totally free to find another hotel - which afterall is the right for all consumers. It is not usually company policy however to ask or inform a customer of this, but without going into detail, we felt that to protect The Seagull's family image, on this occasion we were correct in asking Mr Shahab and his "friends" to find alternative accommadation.

Our hotels has built up over time a good clientel of repeat guest from all over the world. These guest comment on the wonderful family atmosphere of our hotel. If we feel that our reputation can be put in doubt by a guest, then we will ask him to find alternative residence.

We stayed in Seagull Hotel for 6 days. The rooms were ok. The bathrooms a little gross and bad lighting. The halls smelled of moth balls(I think too, because they only opened up a few days before we arrived.)
No one at the hotel spoke much english, so that was a bit hard. Seems to be only German and russian. Many russian people staying at the hotel. Dinner was buffet. But, we had to come early because if you wanted any dessert it was gone!! For the 6 days they seemed to make the same stuff...a little bit boring. I was hoping for some variety.
Pool too cold to swim as was sea. But, they ripped apart the dock, only the metal beams were left. So, couldnt go on it of course...I am not sure what the problem was! The people at the front desk were nice, but again, english not that great. They push you to buy things at the hotel, like to get your pictures taken. I dont want to be bothered by the staff while I am suntanning outside! I am at a hotel, not on the streets at the bazaar! There is also a disco downstairs. But, the music is so loud in the night! You can hear it all the way on the second floor. And the walls are thin. I heard our neighbors snoring! Overall it was ok...clean, friendly staff for the most part, but definatly not 4 star!

“Would not stay here again”

We spent two weeks in Turkey. For the first week, we stayed at the Seagull Hotel near Kemer. If you do not speak Russian or Turkish, I would not recommend this hotel. The staff have a hardtime dealing with English speakers. It was extremely hard for us to communicate, this includes the front desk staff. Overall, opinion of the staff-Rude. The air conditioning was shut off during the day. The dining facilities were hot and stuffy.
At dinner, if you wanted a table outside you needed to sitdown at least two hours in advance. Once dinner started it was a free for all to get food. People pushed and shoved you while you were in line.

Our second week was spend at the Kemer Holiday Club-wonderful place and great for kids.
