“Relaxing family holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

We stayed at this hotel at the end of June for one week the weather was amazing 36 degrees everyday, the hotel was very clean and the food was absolutely outstanding truly 5* without a doubt, the Sevice was mostly good but staff could of been a bit more attentive when it came to drinks with meals the staff around the pool and beach could at least look as tho they were interested in serving you many reviews before commented on how friendly everyone was we struggled to get a hello half the time maybe it helps if there's plenty up top if you get the meaning.. The maids worked very hard and we always returned to a clean room fresh towels and a fully stocked mini bar. The grounds gardens are very well maintained as are the pools, the sea wasn't great there was a lot of rubbish floating in to the shore no fault of the hotel tho the beach was ok but getting in to the sea was nearly impossible due to all the rocks again no fault of the hotel.
Food at the buffet restaurant was that good each night we didn't try the ala cart restaurants there wasn't any signage to temp you in and no explanation of how you went about eating at them which is properly why they were always quiet we noticed in the afternoons they often set up outside dinning but again nothing to tell you what was happening or what time it was available so be sure to enquire we weren't to fussed because the standard of buffet was so good ,the first choice rep wasn't overly great nothing posted to the rooms regards to days out or sights that were a must see no notice boards, again if we had of been tempted by activities we would have proberly have done them. Entertainment was standard all inclusive the bingo was definetly worth ago plenty of worth while prizes.outside the hotel is a long line of shops with very eager shop keepers prices vary big style so be aware and don't be afraid to carry on walking they are very pushy,go out the hotel and turn right walk for half an hour you will come to the market square maybe worth a look if you like the hard sell bartering.. Over all a very nice hotel and great food we paid £765 per person 4 adults plus one child under 2 it hit the spot for us clean room great food and great pool
Biggest tip I can give take lira not pounds dollar or euro and buy all duty free on the out bound flight

Stayed at a duplex garden villa for the last two weeks in July with my wife and three children, the villa inside was a bit plain and dated, that said the air conditioning was good and the villa was clean, we only realy slept there.
The hotel and especially the grounds were well maintained, smartly decorated and furnished, staff were always on hand at your request to help, you didnt have to wait to be looked after, they were very friendly and not at all pushy.
The facilities were good, a selection of pools dependant upon what you prefer, adult only, small and secluded or big family friendly with slides, all had bars near by for whatever you need. The beach was private and a short walk from the fragrant manacured gardens.
What we really liked as a family was that the kids were looked after, when they wanted to be, the staff were very caring towards them and patient, the restaurant options provided a wide choice of cuisine in fantastic settings. You could choose open air dinning or if you prefer a change from the heat indoor air conditioned dinning.
From the gardeners , to the bar staff, the entertainers , waiters , managers nothing was too much trouble to arrange.
A hotel that you can really relax in and one that i would recommend.

I was completely blown away by the beauty and tranquillity of the grounds and gardens of this hotel. I had high expectations after seeing all the photos posted on Tripadvisor but the place is even better once you're there. Photos cannot reproduce the totally relaxed feel of the place, the incredible smell of the jasmine in the gardens and the wonderful sound of the crickets in the trees.
With the stunning mountain backdrop and the hotel being nestled in amongst the pine forest it felt like paradise. In the words of my 7 year old son, it is very "naturey!"

The hotel is lovely, very large and spacious. There are so many different bars, restaurants and places to sit and relax that even when it got very busy in our last couple of days it never felt overcrowded.

The food was wonderful. We ate in the main restaurant all the time as the buffet suits us best as a family who all have different tastes. There was so much choice, I counted 30 different hot dishes one evening and it was all amazing. The selection of fruit, salad and desserts was lovely, I loved the fresh figs and cherries, fresh sushi and smoked salmon and their baked cheesecake was fantastic. The show cooking was great especially the huge king prawns. Hot dishes were hot and cold ones were well chilled. There were themed nights, Turkish, Mexican, Fish and Chinese which were great, (other dishes were plentiful as well for anyone who did not want the themed dishes,) so we didn't feel the need to go to the a la carte restaurants. We may have been tempted if there had been menus to view, maybe the management could think about adding these outside each venue. I loved eating outside on the restaurant terrace, it was a lovely setting and during breakfast and lunch there was relaxing music played very quietly in the background. Inside was lovely and cool though with the air con if you wanted a break from the heat.

The waiters and waitresses were all very friendly and were great with the children. In fact we found all the staff very helpful and always smiling. Not many spoke fluent English but we always managed to make ourselves understood so this was not a problem.

Our room was a villa room in the gardens, overlooking the villa's private pool. At first I was a bit disappointed as it seemed very dark as they are hidden amongst the trees but I soon realised this meant it was cool and shady. It had a good size terrace with a table for 4.
The room itself was large and had everything we needed. Two sleeping areas, a large bedroom for us, with the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, and a good size sofa bed for the kids to share in the lounge area. Each room had a wardrobe with hanging space and drawers, a dressing table, separately controlled air con, and a tv. There was a free safe in the kids wardrobe. The bathroom had a bath with very powerful shower. As many others have commented the rooms are a bit old fashioned and could do with updating, but large, comfortable and clean. Also very quiet, even during the evening entertainment.

The pools were great. Both the relax pool and villa pools are very quiet, the main pool is more a hive of activity but never too noisy. I'm not a fan of entertainment teams but they would not try and persuade you to join in if you didn't want to and when the games were on they only took up a small area of the pool. Music played most of the time but not too loudly. The bar was handy and kept small bottles of water on ice that you could help yourself to. My daughter, aged 10, enjoyed drinking slush puppys at the swim up bar with her friends. The kids enjoyed the slides and the lifeguards were very attentive, they were at every pool and the beach.

The beach was better than I'd expected. It is quite stony in places but that didn't seem to worry the kids and we all enjoyed diving off the pier. The sea was warm but extremely salty. The beach bar had a freezer where you could help yourself to ice creams.

There was never a problem with sunbeds. I've been to other hotels where you need to reserve one at the crack of dawn but this was not the case here. I would usually put our towels out on the way to breakfast, 8.30 to 9ish, and there were loads and loads free. We always got our favourite spot!

The kids enjoyed the table tennis and crazy golf which were in a lovely shady spot in the gardens. They also liked meeting up with other children in the games room after our evening meal. This was great, computers and games consoles, all free, to entertain the kids giving us time for a quiet after dinner drink in the bar.

We went to 2 shows in the amphitheatre and enjoyed both, the Lion King was lovely as they involved children who attended the kids club and the costumes were amazing. We also saw the Shaolin show, also good.
There were singers in the main terrace bar each evening, some better than others! One night there was bingo and karaoke which is really not my thing but there are plenty of places to go to avoid it! But we often sat inside in the piano bar where it was quieter and cooler.

We didn't use the spa or kids club so I can't comment on these.

I would love to return to this hotel one day although we do like to try new places. I'm considering trying another Paloma hotel next year as our experience here was so good. A big thank you to all the staff.

Room Tip: Villa rooms are very quiet, cool and shady, and have good air con.

This resort is magnificent. It is a beautiful place: the Turkish style lobby. the gardens, the pools, and the beach.. It is located right between the mountains and the Sea and offers breath-taking views of both.

The pools are very large and clean. They have 3 different slides which are a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. If you don't want kids around there is a separate secluded pool.

The resort keeps the beach very clean, in spite of the garbage that sometimes washes out from the Sea (it is hard to understand why people would litter the sea). The chairs and shade are nicely spaced so that you feel very comfortable, and they were always available.

Housekeeping is excellent. The room was always immaculate and they refreshed the towels during the day. Reception does a great job and they are very helpful (special thanks to Yeliz).

This is, basically, an all-inclusive resort. The food at the buffets (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is good, with a huge selection of Turkish and international dishes. The a-la-carte restaurants are excellent. You only have to pre-book one day in advance through a convenient automated system. We tried the Turkish, seafood and International restaurants. Service and food were outstanding. You get a 5-6 course meal with choices that will satisfy every palate.

The two issues that I see as opportunities for improvement are the drinks and the disco. They offer acceptable drinks only at the lobby bar. The beach bar is stocked with Russian whiskey (c'mon...really?) and "El Mariachi" Tequila (agave not included). The free Turkish wines are barely adequate. You can get better brands but at an extra charge. The disco plays mainly hip-hop. So very few people dance, if any. The DJ needs to be sensitive to the audience, not just play what he likes. We tried 3 times and it was a bust every one of them.

There is entertainment every night at the lobby bar, and a 30-40 minute show at the Amphitheater. All of these are pretty good. and the lobby bar fills to capacity when the music plays.

Taxi to the airport takes about one hour and costs around 50-60 Euros.

Stayed here for 9 nights from 16-25th July celebrating an anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Transfer time is 45 minutes. Check in was effortless and quick with no language issues. The all-inclusive package was explained to us. We were taken to our room and shown how to use the air con, safe etc. We arrived at midnight and had missed dinner but were still able to help ourselves to soup & bread. The piano bar is a 24 hour bar so we could get a drink on arrival too.

We stayed in a junior suite (room 334) which was front-facing with a mountain view, which we believe to be one of the best in the hotel. The room was large with an extremely comfortable super king bed, it was well equipped and clean. We had two balconies, one small balcony as described by other reviewers and one much larger balcony accommodating two sunbeds, umbrella, table and chairs. This balcony was in the sun all day and was absolutely perfect for our needs. The air con in the room was superb, with the controls in the room. There were tea/coffee making facilities, a drinks-only mini bar which was replenished daily, a hair dryer, washing line, bath with shower, separate shower, shampoo conditioner & shower gel were provided too. There was also a turn-down service in the evening. Overall first class.

The food was excellent with a wide variety and choice during our stay. We ate in the buffet restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. There was live cooking outside in the evenings providing some theatre. At lunchtime we alternated between the Saffron restaurant which offered a buffet selection (no need to book) and the beach bar offering burgers, pizzas, wraps or salads. The food in these restaurants was of the same high standard. Thoughtful touches included boxes of cherries or slices of melon available from an iced cart in the garden area. There was a wide selection of all inclusive drinks and they were freely available in all bars, restaurants at all times. We had no issues waiting at the bar or with language barriers. Again, we thought first class.

The gardens were beautiful and immaculately kept, with sufficient sunbeds, all of good quality, available throughout the day. The beach area is relatively small, though we did not experience any problems in finding a suitable location everyday and two jetties enable easy access to the sea without having to use the beach. The hotel boasts many other high quality facilities including a large pool, 3 water slides, an adult only pool, a 12m indoor pool, tennis courts, volleyball courts, watersports, spa and an indoor games room.

There are daytime activities organised by the hotel should you wish to participate but the grounds are large enough should you wish to have peace and quiet. The evening entertainment was held over 3 locations within the hotel; the piano bar, the ampitheatre and the beach bar. The piano bar entertainment was mainly singers- a bit hit or miss in standard, the ampitheatre was mainly aimed at family entertainment-quite good and the beach bar offering a disco from 23:30-02:00-good fun and you can't hear this from the hotel. There is not much to see/do in the local area and as such we stayed in the hotel.

Overall having visited various other 5* Turkish hotels, we feel this hotel is of a comparable standard and really enjoyed our stay.

Our observations that may help or improve the holiday experience were:
- Dining room organisation - as with some previous feedback, we believe the dining experience could be improved by having staff with specific roles such as some greeting and taking you to a table, some providing the drinks service and finally some clearing plates.
- Crockery - at peak times there were insufficient plates, mugs and glasses. The plates for salads and desserts were frequently fresh from the dishwasher and too hot for this type of food.
- Cats - some like them and some loathe them, I'm in the latter category and didn't appreciate them in the dining areas, however healthy looking they are.

None of these spoilt our holiday and we had a good time and value for money.

Very mix feelings about this hotel. It’s not what I would call a five star hotel, though I don’t know how this compares to other Turkish hotels with this being our first time holidaying in Turkey. Don’t get me wrong, some aspects are five star, but some are more two star plus.

Location: - The hotel is about an hour from the airport and 50mins from Antalya centre, though slightly lengthened due to a lot of major road works along the route. It is set in lovely garden surrounds which are well maintained, leading to a beach front. The beach is quite small and rather shingled. There is another hotel to one side, and another under construction on the other. Some people have complained about the noise from the construction site, but we didn’t really notice it, as our room was on the other side of the hotel and while sat out in the gardens we could occasionally hear some machinery, it was only background noise, easily downed out with an iPod. The road the hotel sits on is fairly quiet to traffic. It is lined with shops on the opposite side, however some look like they are about to fall down, some are empty, while the rest have their owners standing in the street looking desperate for a passerby to hassle.

Hotel: - Checking in was as chaotic as other have said. The receptionist that started to process us, took our passports to take a scanned copy, but then also began to scan everyone else’s passports, resulting in ours being given back to another couple, which caused some confusion and left us waiting while others were being processed. It would have been much easier if the three receptionists just dealt with one set of guests at a time. We were very surprised by the overall lack of English spoken by all the staff.

Food/Restaurants/Bars: - The food in general was fairly average, very Germanic in nature. A good selection of salad, breads and desserts, but the hot food wasn’t very hot and not all dishes were labeled. Although there were other restaurants that could be booked (one day prior), some with an additional charge of 10 Euros, there were no menus in your room or outside the restaurants to help you decide if you wanted to booked these or not. At the main buffet restaurant, there was a lady at the entrance who would show people to a table, that is if she could be bothered too, instead of standing around trying to look glamorous (and failing). If I was in charge, she would be the first to go and she added no value. Once you found a table, a waiter would fill up your water glass and offer you a drink (and hope they understand). Anything other than wine, they would have to go and get from the bar, so expect a wait, plus don’t expect refills unless it’s wine. All the waiters are polite, but some are better than others, as some just stand around chatting trying not to make eye contact. As for the bar, most of the time there was only 2 staff serving, with 2 or 3 waiting on tables in the piano bar and outside, so this cause long waits at the bar as the serving staff were busy serving the waiters or the restaurant staff. Again, a lack of menus, or those that could be found lead to confusion as drinks had prices against them, so you didn’t know if they were part of the all inclusive or chargeable. Finding water throughout the day was also a challenge, sometimes there would be bottles on the bar sometimes not.

Room: - We opted for a junior suite at the time of booking, and we were really please with the room. It was a good size, huge super king bed, en-suite with a bath and a separate shower, and a flat screen TV in the lounge are and bedroom area. The décor was pleasing at first glance, but closer inspection reveals a more tired look, but generally very clean. The rooms are carpeted, which is nice change to most holiday hotels, as this helps to prevent noise from neighbouring rooms and floors and those guests that decide to rearrange the furniture at 2am. The main disappoint was with the balcony which mostly overlooked a wall (part the hotel that jutted out) but also the fact that you could only fit one plastic chair on there. Nearly all the rooms appear to have a small balcony. The other issue we had was the room was very hot and stuffy as the hotel only switch the air conditioning on in the middle of May, despite many complaints from other guests.

Useful tips:- shampoo, shower gel and face cloths etc are provided, if you wanting to save suitcase weight. The drinks in the mini bar and the bottle of red wine are part of the all inclusive. The windows in our room were locked, but were opened upon request via our rep. The tap water is ok for brushing your teeth but not recommended for drinking according to our rep upon asking.

Room Tip: Try for a corner room that has 2 balconies as ours was so small only 1 person could sit out at a tim...
