Very disappointing, although the view of the lake was great.

Accommodation comprised bedroom and kitchen only, no living room, even though described as an apartment. Standard well below the advertised 3*, and poor cost to quality ratio. No-star chain hotels in France have a better standard than this!

Apartment block is very run down and unattractive from the outside, and seriously in need of refurbishment. Interior resembled a low grade student hostel. Muddy car park.

The kitchen had no soap or cleaning materials. 2 of the 3 saucepans were dirty. An unlocked supplies room contained no materials other than about 15 rolls of toilet paper. No phone, so the only way we could contact reception was to walk 3 – 4 mins from our building to the reception.

Our room was too cold, in spite of having the radiator set at max. The flow water through the radiators was barely lukewarm. We compensated by turning on the electric hob in the kitchen, and used the hair dryer for heating the bedroom. Most unsatisfactory.

Noise throughout the night from adjacent lift.

Two disposable glasses in bathroom were provided, but one was dirty presumably from use be a previous occupant.

Horrible place, to which we would never want to return!

It was my first time travelling to a remote area of France, and it was VERY tricky trying to find accommodation near Annecy (where we arrived by train) and within a tight student budget. After hours of googling, we found this hotel which was offering discounted rooms. Yippie! ^_^

Price: Approximately £54 for 1 night in a twin room with a view of the lake.

Room Amenities: Room is small with just a television :) Don't even remember if they provided a phone. However, the room, bathroom (soap and towels provided) and toilet was all clean, and we had a good night sleep.

Breakfast: Continental breakfast.

View: ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING. Make sure you spend some time admiring the sunset/sunrise view here.

Service: Very good, very helpful even when some of them could not speak English.

How to get here: TRICKIEST part as I understand limited French :P Methods of transport:
1. Bus (cost not sure): Take the 51 Bus from Gare d'Annecy (train station) towards Albertville, stopping at Le Brouillet but then it's 20 minutes by foot from the bus station to the hotel. The last bus from Annecy train station is around 7.15 pm. We arrived late so we went with a taxi instead.

2. By metered taxi (35-40 Euros): There is a taxi stop right next to the Annecy train station, along with the phone number. 20-30 minutes ride.
3. By Omnibus (4.80 Euro per person): It's a boat from Annecy stopping at several towns around Lake Annecy, including Sevrier. As there are not much taxis near the Sevrier port, I recommend you to take the Omnibus from Sevrier back to Annecy when you're leaving the hotel. Ask the receptionist to book you a taxi from the hotel to the port. It's not often, check schedule first: http://www.annecy-croisieres.com/en/general-public/discovery-cruises/omnibus-boat-tour.html

Other notes: Reception and restaurant is closed at night even before 9, and the closest restaurant (if you do not have a car) would be McDonalds :p So sort out your dinner plans earlier!

We wanted to thank you for your message that summarizes the access to our facility modes.
To complement these, the cost of a bus ticket on line 51 or 52 is less than 3 € / pers. / Journey to a place called "the Brouillet."
Hoping to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Annecy,
Best regards.
