Booked here for my Mums birthday. Had been a few weeks before and all had the carvery which was excellent. We booked a table for 3.30 and knew we could not have carvery as it finished at 2 . So opted for the choices off the set menu 2 course offer which was put on our table. Found when we got to bar that it was not available ...only mon - Friday. So why put it on the tables.
There was only us and another couple dining but they were joined by there family for drinks half way through and totally took over our table too. We asked to be moved but told all the other tables were reserved for firework party later. We were there 2 hours these tables were not used in that time. Also they put on loud music half way through so my mum who was under the speaker could not hear as had to take her hearing out out.
We wrote our meal choices out as it is self order at bar, your food is brought to you though. But my dads didn't appear they said we didn't order it!!!
He got it as the rest of us had finished eating.
The pie of the day looked massive but upon removing the air blown top not much inside, the scampi meals were just ok. My steak was fine but nothing special.
Very disappointed in the preety average food.
We were also told twice we would have to move soon as they had people coming in. Although no evidence of anyone waiting.
They made us feel our custom was not valued.
Would recommend the carvery we had last time but nothing else.
We as a family will not be returning.
