“Excellent Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Fantastic location, you can start skiing from the hotel directly. Big rooms with Sauna . Neat and spacious rooms. House keeping could be better. Very good breakfast. The view of the ski slopes from the rooms is awesome.Great place to stay ! The best location in Levi .

The good:
-The hotel's location is absolutely fabulous! Ski-in, ski-out; with a gondola to take you down into the village for dinner!
-The room was very large, and clean. They even had an oven-like contraption to hang your wet ski clothes in - which was a great bonus!
-The breakfast was tasty too.
- Friendly staff - very helpful

The not so good:
- We arrived 45 minutes before check-in (which is at 3pm), and the man at the reception told us that there were rooms, but that we had to wait until 3 to check-in, because "if he let us in, he would have to do the same for everyone".... Seemed a bit weird, but we just went and got an overly priced beer at the bar as we waited!
- The queen size bed was comprised of two single beds pushed together; and although I have become accustomed to this in Europe, the beds here were were light, and thus they slid very easily... both my partner and I fell between the beds many times.

Overall though, a solid hotel and would definitely recommend it.

We just got back from a skiing trip after staying at The Hotel Panorama....wonderful...ski in....ski out, beautiful views. The food was very goos even if a tad on the expensive side...but this is not a critisism as the location makes up for it. Mary in the restaurant was so attentive and helpful....and was always really pleased to see us.
We asked Martin for an upgrade from a superior room (which actually was a great room) half way through our holiday as we wanted to have a sauna and a bath.....Martin could not have been more helpful, and he also did us a great deal on the upgrade. The junior suite was lovely with great views over the village and slopes. 339 if anyone wants to ask for it!! All in all I would defo recommend this hotel for its great location, food, staff and cleanliness. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the place was lovely and warm.

Room Tip: Corner Junior suites are great for couples with good facilities and lovely views

We came on a Saturday to spend a long weekend and looked forward to the hotel as it was advertised as high-class. The hotel proved a disappointment. We got our room two hours late, because there wasn't staff enough for the cleaning of the rooms - Saturday is a change-over day and the timetables of the aeroplanes are well known, but this has not been taken into account in the staffing. The hotel is not equipped with wifi - a standard requirement of any high-class hotel nowadays. The lamps did not work and to change the bulbs would have required an electrician, which was not available over the weekend. To my question as to why the lamps had not been checked earlier, the receptionist answered that 'we can't check them every day'. Change of room was not possible until the following day and no compensation for the shortcomings of the hotel was offered. Definitely not a hotel that we will return to.

We visited the hotels dinner restaurant with a group of ten, adults and children. They had a nice buffet and good menu, but the service was disappoininting. The restaurant was far from full but we waited long before getting ordered. We ordered some wine and chose a South-African redwine. When the glasses we filled two of our group (who both have professional knowledge of wine) reacted to the mell of the wine and suggested that the wine was ruined by some air to it, we made the waiters known with the fact but they denied that it could be possible, one of them even said that when you buy a cheap wine -40euros - you can't expect more. We sent the wine back, we paid for it anyway and didn't get any apologies, just the impression of being difficult customers.

Just back from 4day Lapland experience staying at this hotel. I could not fault it in any way!
We were in a room on the 5th floor and have to say, did not hear another sound, either from the rooms either side or above! Room ver spacious and modern. I took shampoo with me following another review, but didn't need it as shower gel in the shower!!
Takes 2 mins on the Gondola into the village, did not have to wait at all!
We were B&B - breakfast was very enjoyable!
Martin on reception was the best, not to say the other staff weren't helpful, but Martin probably has the best English understanding so understood the issue very quickly! (had to get my driving license faxed from DVLA to book a snowmobile safari!!!)
Like all hotels and restaurants, the drinks aren't cheap - but no worse than anywhere else!

I will definitely book this hotel when I go back again!

Nice new building, with great views down the mountain and right next to the slopes. Rooms were very good and food also nice. The only issue is its a bit isolated from town if youre after the levi apres ski.
