Just back from the Residhome and was impressed for the price we paid. This hotel is new looking and was clean and is literally just outside the RER station, you couldn't be any closer. It is definitely the place to stay if you are doing Disney on a budget. It was really handy having the kitchenette in the room also so you could save money on going out for meals. On check in, the hotel advised where the hypermarket was to stock up on food (again this was only 5 minutes away). The hotel is only one stop from Disney so you are there in around 3 minutes and it is in a nice area close to restaurants in the Val D'Europe shopping centre. This shopping centre is also very good if you like shopping. We flew into CDG airport and got the VEA shuttle to the bus station at Disney and then took the RER from Disney to the hotel. You can pay for the VEA shuttle on their website upfront which I prefer and we had no problems finding the pick up point in the airport. The VEA shuttle is 17 Euros for an adult each way and then 1.5 Euros for the RER to the hotel. With cases I think this is the best way rather than getting the RER from the airport. On checking out the hotel kept our cases for us as we had a later flight which I also thought was very good. I would have no problems recommending this hotel to anyone. We paid £56.50 a night going through Superbreak and Quidco cashback.

I really enjoyed our weekend in Paris.

The Residhome is definitely finished, as are the shops and restaurants nearby. It's only one stop on the RER to Disney, and costs around 1 euro 45 each way for an adult (around £1.00). Don't know how much it is for kids but you can buy a set of 10 tickets.
Kitchenette complete with microwave and dishwasher. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom. The only slight negative in the apartment is the bathoom sink is beside the bath (but you could wash your hands in the kitchen sink if the bathroom was occupied). And the only mirror was above said bathroom sink. They supplied two small bottle of shower gel and shampoo, and plenty of towels. There's also a hairdryer in the bathroom. There is a free safe in the wardrobe. To lock it you had to enter your code, then enter, then wait for the display to go blank then press lock. Unlocking was easy - just enter the code and then enter.
There are two flat screen TV's. One in the lounge and the other in the bedroom. The only English language channels were BBC world and CNN. We only got both in the bedroom, so it's worth scanning the channels on both sets. Both have a built in DVD player.
I had read some reviews complaining about the breakfast. We were room only, but there was a German man complaining about the breakfast, and the hotel wouldn't have anything to do with him, and kept referring him back to his travel agency. Other than that the reception staff were really friendly and spoke English.
There is underground parking. It cost us 5 Euros/day. You could park outside for free, but as our car was hired, we felt it was worth it.
We didn't see any signs asking us to clean the apartment.

At the other end of the train platfrom is Val D'europe shopping centre. Literally 5 minutes walk. There are a few nice restaurants just opposite the station entrance, and more once you are in the shopping centre. The Sea Life Centre is also in the Val D'Europe shopping centre. We ate in Hippopotamus, which was really nice, but they only had one English menu. I did GCSE French at school 20 years ago, and this helped in restaurants as a few of them didn't have English versions.
The Val D'europe shopping centre is huge - one of the first shops we saw was Claire's accessories, but most of the others weren't British. There's also a supermrket.
Athe the other end of the Val D'europe is Marne La Valee shopping outlet. It has discount Armani, Molton Brown, and others.

We arrived at Disney at 09:00, but at that time it was only open to onsite hotel residents. They let the rest of us in at around 09:20 as the queue was quiet, but only to Main Street. Again onsite hotel residents could go on any rides, but the rest of were only able to go in shops and restaurants.

I doub't we will go to Eurodisney again soon, as we have no kids (yet), but I would definitley consider Residhome again.

this appartahotel is excellent for a family to stay in. there was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children.
ample space in the apartment/studio flat, you could tell this was a newley built establishment, everything sparkled and shined. we re arranged the furniture to get one of the sofa beds opened, but thats no hastle.
they have took advantage of every nook and cranny. the room was spotless, service at reception super.
i felt very safe here with the security code needed to use the lift.
it is very reasonablly priced.
there is parking outside in street for free, but u can pay 5 euros for under ground parking.
its 10 minutes from disney bt car and the val d europe shopping centre is 10 mins walking.
the only thing id comment on is that the breakfast is over priced, 5 euros for kids,10 for adults, fill up if u buy it here.
over all id go back. lovely, better than pierre vacancies, which i liked also.

I knew that a trip to Disneyland Paris would not be cheap, and having looked at the prices of each of the Disney hotels we opted to search for cheaper accomodation on the outskirts of Disneyland. But as much as we wanted to save money, we also did not want to end up in a run-down 2 star hotel. Thankfully, I discovered Residhome in Val d'Europe almost right next to Disneyland. I booked it direct from their website, which was extremely easy to do. I contacted them via e-mail several times afterwards & got a rapid reply every time.

We travelled to the Residhome from London Uk, travelling by car & the channel tunnel. I chose this method of transportation because I thought it was the cheapest option, but beware - extras such as petrol
& toll charges in France bump the overall travel costs up considerably. If you do decided to use the Channel tunnel then make sure to book as early as possible, as prices go up nearer the day, which means it's only cheap if booked well in advance.

The Channel/Euro tunnel train takes only 35 mins between Folkestone & Calais. However, the overall journey from London to Disneyland Paris can take anything between 5-7 hours! It took us roughly 1 & 1/2 hours to drive from London to Folkestone and then 4 hours to drive from Calais to the appartment in Val d'Europe.

We arrived at the Residhome at 5:30am! I had warned them prior to arrival that we might be arriving very early in the morning (although I had expected to arrive around 2-3am, and they said it would be fine as there is someone at reception 24 hrs a day).

Residhome has a private underground car park which costs an extra 10 euros, it would seem, for the whole duration of your stay, but don't hold me to it coz we only stayed 2 nights yet paid the 10 euro car park fee once, which was added on to the price of our accomodation when we paid. There are, however, free car park spaces outside the hotel (plus, there is a hotel Ibis right next door with ample free parking). We just paid the 10 euros for the peace of mind of storing our car in a secure location.

When we checked-in, we were greeted by two members of staff who both spoke English fluently and as we were the only people checking in at that time of the morning it was done fairly quickly. The reception area looked very clean & modern, so we were anxious to see what our appartment would look like.

All guests are given a security code for use of the lifts, which is great as it's added security for us! Our appartment was located on the 4th floor right at the end of one of the corridors. We were really
impressed with our appartment. I had booked a 2 bedroom appartment for 4 adults & 1 infant, and there was plenty of room for us all. The
only negative was that I had requested that both the bedrooms have double beds & we only had I bedroom with a double bed, with the other bedroom being extremely small with bunk beds. Not a problem though, as
there was a double sofa bed in the living area, which suited us just fine, as it was very easy to pull out & put away, and we still got the
privacy that w needed. The bathroom was lovely, there were 2 showers, one attached to the bath and the other in a seperate cubical at the end of the bath. The toilet was in a seperate room (tiny), which comes
in very handy when there's a group of you staying in the same appartment. The bedroom had a 21" TV with a built-in DVD player (multiregion), and the same TV could be found in the living room. The kitchen was fully equiped with cutlery, glass, plates, pans, etc. There was a mini electric hob, a microwave & even a little dishwasher!

I believe Residhome was opened only 6 months ago, which means that eveyrthing is still relatively new & unused. Having said that, one of the floor lamps was wobbly & looked like it was about to topple over at any given moment. I also noticed a rip in our bedsheets, but these are all minor things that didn't affect our stay. We wanted to make use of the electric safe in our apartment, but found that there no batteries in it! This was resolved by a quick trip to reception who then sent some batteries directly to our room(as we couldn't work out how to use the telephone in the living room!).

As this is an apartment, and not a hotel, there is no free maid service. They do provide you with a dustpan and brush in the kitchen & if your bin gets full you're supposed to empty it yourself (although
I'm not sure where you take it, as we only stayed 2 nights & had no need to empty it). But if you want your room cleaned properly then you have to pay extra. I don't see this as a problem considering how little the accomodation cost (which for us worked out at just over £15 per person per night - fantastic!). Also costing extra is breakfast, though I cannot comment on this as we never ate at Residhome. Though I highly recommend booking breakfast at Cafe Mickey in the Disney Village. It costs 25 euros per person, which does sound like a lot, but it's all you can eat american breakfast buffet and a whole load of Disney characters come round to the tables while you eat! It's worth every penny & both kids and adults will thoroughly enjoy it! When we went we saw Mickey Mouse, Chip & Dale, Pluto, Goofy,
Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Gepeto (Pinocchio's father) & Baloo (Jungle Book bear). We had a 2 year old girl with us & the look on her face was priceless!

Back to the apartment, the location was perfect for Disney, pretty much a straight drive all the way, just follow the signs & about a 5-10 min drive. By the way, be warned, parking at Disney will cost you 8 euros for the day. There's also a huge shopping center, a discount outlet village & a train station all within walking distance of Residhome.

Overall, it was a good stay, the service was fine, the room was lovely, the price even lovlier & the location was perfect for Disney (and shopping!).

We stayed here from 22-26th Aug (2 adults 2 kids) for a short break to Disneyland.

Newly built complex just a stone's throw from the RER station for
fast transfer to Disney & Paris.

We thought we had booked a hotel but found out on arrival that this is in fact a self catering apartment with no cleaning service and no change of towels or linens.

Rooms ok in size with small kitchen area and 2 flat screen TV/DVD's although a bit too much furniture to be comfortable.

Buffet Breakfast included in our room rate but very, very disappointing . It would have been better to have made breakfast in the room.

Overall, for a short stay, the apartment is a good alternative to the Disney complex and we would definately consider staying here again now that we know what to expect!
