Top marks from vitually all reviewers says it all.Mountains,beaches and good food are all within an hour or twos drive.Hard to think how Bob and Ian could improve on the package that they already offer.Its worth stopping at one of the bigger supermarkets on the way in from Ancona airport as the choice and quality of food and wine is amazing.More local shops and supermarkets are still good but do not offer the same huge choice that is available at the larger stores.

Attention to detail is the key to why Casa dei Fichi is so special. Bob and Ian are perfect hosts - unobtrusive but there with advice on restaurants or places to visit. The views from the apartment across countryside to the hill towns of the Marche are spectacular.

The location can not be beaten for some genuine peace and quiet. The views provide a gentle massage for the eyes and one can relax by the pool for a whole day just taking in the scenery. The villa is situated in a totally unspoilt part of Italy which brings relaxation just to think of it. It's great for walkers too if you don't mind making your own tracks.

Bob and Ian have thought of everything in terms of visitor needs, and even the pets make you feel welcome. We will certainly return...

We visited in March for a weekend. Friday lunch was a leisurely affair at a charming sea-food retaurant on the coast which set the mood for a great couple of days. On Saturday the weather was fine and sunny for our walk in the wonderful country-side around Francavilla, until the unseasonal snow!!! It was the perfect excuse for tired Mums to snuggle up in front the lovely open fires and watch uninterupted soppy DVDs!!! Fantastic. Bob and Ian were the hosts with mosts and helped out with transport, shopping, sight-seeing and great advice and guidance. We didn't hire a car but would probably recommend it to make the most of a beautiful region.
