My wife and I have just returned from Bob and Ian of Casal dei Fichi's "Olive Discovery Weekend." However, It was more than just about olives. We discovered the fantastic wines and food of this little known region. We helped to make one of the meals under the expertise of a local chef. We even picked some olives from the property and saw them crushed in the local mill.
How satisfying to have the oil from the olives that you picked yourself. Our hosts made it all so interesting and special. To also stay at their luxery apartments and to wake every day to the fantastic view of the hills and mountains of the region.
We are back home but still have the memories and olive oil to remind us of a special weekend.

This was simply one of the best holidays we have had in years. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we could ask for. The beautiful views and warm welcome meant that as soon as we arrived we started to unwind.
We could easily have spent all week simply relaxing in the beautiful gardens soaking up the views though we were glad we found time to explore the lovely beaches of the Conero region and to spend a day walking in the awesome mountains.

There was simply too much to do. We found May the ideal time to visit, the weather was hot and sunny, we were able to use the pool and swim in the sea but there were very few tourists and we felt as if we were discovering this special part of Italy for ourselves.

We will most certainly return next year.

If you want amazing views, fantastic hospitality, great weather, peace and quiet all in your own very well appointed home away from home in a stunning tranquil setting - GO. You will love it. We went with our two small children in mid October and between trips to the beach, the mountains and the plethora of medieval hilltop towns, spent everyday in the pool. If you want the extra bedroom the interlinking apartments Rafaello and Rossini are perfect. Trying hard to think of a fault but can't. It really is the most relaxing, laid back holiday I have ever had - made even better by the fact Ian and Bob do not have a blackberry charger!
