“(Still)Great value for money!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

We are eating regular at this nicely located restaurant and every time it is a very nice experience.
- Excellent food
- Proffesional and friendly service
- Creative and surprising cuisine
- Still value for money - (though prices creeping up)
- Beautifully located at shore of a picturesque large pond
- Usually (not always), easy parking!
-MINUS - Horrible clinical, blinding white white interieur, with cheap looking white plastic chairs and white tables. Avoid the large extention or take your sunglasses with you. It's a pitty, the newly decorated dining looks now like a cheap student messroom! (if something ain't broke, why trying to fix it?)!

“Amazing blend of different tastes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

We already knew the restaurant but hadn't been there for quite a while, it being 30km from our home. Shame on us because we had an excellent dinner! Quite a lot of different tastes on one plate and yet very acceptable. We discussed this fact at the table and we all agreed it was perfect.
We didn't like the waiter's black gloves!!!!
We also didn't like the veranda, the cool furniture is wonderful in the old building but in the veranda it looks like a school refectory.

“Gastronomic Food at Affordable Prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

I have lived in Belgium for 30+ years and have heard tell of this restaurant, but this nis the first time I have been. It is set in nice countryside and near a lake. It was full when we went. We went in a foursome and had ordered the asparagus menu (24 hours notice - why??). This was Euro35 and Euro50 with a selection of wines. The meal came with lots of little add ons and degustations. The quality of each dish was superb and there was always something or somethings that were interesting and exceptional on each plate - a ball of orange icecream filled with a balsamic vinegar mix which burst in the mouth, an asparagus jelly or emulsion.There was lots of gasps and "try that, it's great!" comments. It was food I had often seen on TV on gourmet cooking programmes, and this was it. Service was attentive and in English (we were three nationalities and this seemed fair although two spoke excellent Dutch) and each dish and wine were explained. One French red wine was not to our liking (corked?) but they changed it no discussion and gave us a Chilean red that was good.
With coffee (extra) came lots of home made sweets and chocolates - again with non-traditional flavors. All in all a great place which I would return to no problem.

“Fine cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

* fine cooking
* nice setting in a park
* good fine food, good service
* more than an average restaurant
* quality food, but not in its finest form (comes close though, they try hard)
* after a menu, you will certainly have had enough to eat & it's guaranteed to be nice
* don't go there for a cheap evening, 2 persons menu & wine = 140 euros
