The hotel is in a good location on ISA Kaita Road and has a good bar which is well stocked and well run by Joshua! Aircon in the rooms is very effective.
Well, that's the positives out of the way .... The rooms are not bad, clean and functional over two floors. Beds are 'rock hard'; I'm not joking, nearly sustained a shoulder injury when I executed the standard tired 'flop' onto the bed. However, there is very little water to the rooms - insufficient for a shower, which is why we were confronted with buckets in the bath? Absolutely no change despite promises and allegedly getting a plumber in on several occasions. We stayed here as a group for about 8 days and despite the promises above, the pool, also subject to a promise that it would be functional imminently, wasn't! Another promise broken. The food is not geared for a western palattes, breakfast is small, not available over a protracted period and dinner was hopeless. I live in Nigeria currently, even I found the food inedible - we ate out at some of the very good restaurants in Kaduna!
We had a discounted rate of approx £60 B&B per night - overpriced in all aspects. I did state I was coming back with a larger team later in the month, however, even that didn't spur staff/owner into the repairs to ensure repeat business. Avoid at all costs - there are similarly priced hotels which outperform this establishment by miles.
Final thought: Current Security situation - if you have to travel, there are security staff on the two gates. There are NO armed MOLPOL in the local area, unlike some of the better hotels.
