“The place to stay”

Back again for another business trip, and I will also be back again in September
The rooms have recently been refurbished, very tastefully, great units for the B&B, very self contained and private, over to the main house for a superb breakfast in the morning, Wi-Fi connection in room, couldn't be better

Room Tip: Book before you go, do not turn up on spec

This was an excellent B&B!
The first thing I liked was my room which was more like a self contained flat with arm chairs and its own front door.
The welcome was very warm and genuine, not one from people trying to impress. They were very helpful and as a single traveller they chatted to me, listened to my activities, found me maps and made suggestions about things I could do. Much appreciated.
Breakfast was delicious and the goodies left every day on the drinks tray every day were the icing on the cake!
Hope to be able to return.
I've never met such lovely people as those who live on these islands. their kindness and patience is unparallelled

We had two very pleasant days at this comfortable guest house. The owners were very friendly and helpful - pointing us in the right direction for good evening meals. The breakfast was excellent - the best scrambled egg we have had for many a long year!

Out on business to the Uist's this is the place I stay, really don't like coming out to work in the Uist's if I can't get booked
The same wonderful welcome, the accomodation suits me perfectly, your own bed and bathroom unit with entrance hall, part of a row of three, room is big with all the amenities, TV, kettle for cuppa and snacks left for a nibble, large shower room, facilities are first class
Breakfast is marvellous all you could want and more is offered.
Location is great for a tourist slap bang in the middle of the Uist's couldn't be better.

Stayed here for three nights recently and had a most excellent stay.
The room was excellent with everything you would expect from a 3 or 4 start hotel available, apart from wifi which I could get on my Iphone but not on my laptop.
Breakfast was superb with fresh fruit and eggs straight from the owners own hens!
the hosts, Bill and Sadie, were most helpful in providing brochures, maps and information on places to visit and also places to dine at night (The Dark Island was okay and Stepping Stones was very good but gave immense portions!).
Absolutely no problem about going back to stay in Lionacleit Guest House.

Room Tip: All rooms are well insulated from both traffic noise from the nearby road and from wind and rain noi...

What a lovely place. Immaculately clean. Fresh and brilliantly laid out. Had b&b, food was lovely and plenty of it! The owners are wonderful. In fact the Islanders in general were some of the friendliness most accommodating people I have ever met. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here June 2012. Very comfy bed, good size room, best hospitality tray ever! included a bag of kettle crisps and a yummy wrapped biscuit bar as well as fresh milk. Makes a change from the processed wrapped offerings. Free wifi. smallish shower cubicle but plenty hot water. They have some self catering units and 3 letting rooms. The 3 rooms are external to the main house where the breakfast room is. Although they are only a few metres outside I would imagine it would be a pain when it is cold and wet. This means the rooms have external front doors, a small hall with a bedroom and bathroom off it. I found there was a draught came under the external door into the 2 rooms which is bareable in summer but I would be wary of staying here when it was colder. The breakfast was delish. Haven't been offered strawberries for breakfast since staying at a 5* in San Francisco. Bill and Sadie were excellent hosts even going to the trouble of introducing other guests seated at breakfast to help break the ice.
