I have just returned from visiting Stella Maris over the May bank holiday weekend. I first stayed here back in June 2010 and I can honestly say it is even better second time round! The rooms have recently been updated and renovated and the result is pure luxury! We stayed in Room No.6 which is a mini suite and has amazing views onto Keel beach. This room is a little bit more expensive than the others but it is definately worth the extra money for the extra space and the views! Like other reviewers have mentioned the breakfast at Stella Maris is excellent and with so much to choose from, it is nice to have the option of a fresh healthy breakfast (fruit pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, porridge, cheeses, breads, scrambled eggs & salmon) as well as the 'full Irish' option. I have stayed in other B & B's in the Keel area and the only reason why Stella Maris is not No.1 is because they are not open all year round! I am already planning my next trip to Achill and Stella Maris!
