Customer service is excellent here. We couldnt have asked for better. The hotel is out of the centre of Mariehamn but it isn't that much of a hassle to walk. We hired bikes which made the distance nothing at all. There is a beach nearby as well and some nice scenery not far off. Shame there wasn't free wifi but there are plenty of places in the cent

My mother and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. We were really pleased with the stay! The room was very clean and spacious enough, with everything we needed (table for writing, chairs, armchairs with a smaller table, big wardrobe). The bathroom is also very comfortably organised and the cleaning staff visits rooms every day. The hotel's located in a quite area so we didn't have noise issues. It took us about 20 minutes walk to the centre of Mariehamn but that was not a problem at all as the walking paths are well organised and it's a pleasure strolling them.
Also the nice thing was the friendliness of staff. We arrived early in the morning before the check-in time but were allowed to go to the room immediately. We were soaking wet so it was really really nice.

We stayed here for 2 nights as the quirkier B&B and cottage lodgings near Mariehamn seemed full-booked. A good choice really, quite new building with neat surroundings on a quiet area, interior is modern and neutral (i.e. big contrast to our previous countryside B&B lodgings with a lot of character). Very clean rooms, good breakfast, and a lovely Italian icecream shop next to the place. No restaurant in the hotel though.

he location is ~2 km north from Mariehamn center, so it works well if you are traveling by car or bike (like us); 5 min by bike to center, maybe ~15-20 by walking though. A big sand beach very close by was gorgeous, seemed to support all sorts of kite-surfing activities in addition to plain old swimming and sunbathing.

It is a nice clean hotel. Close to the city center. Rooms were recently renovated. Friendly staff. Rooms are well equiped, some things wich are not mandatory but makes your stay comfortable are precent. (like iron and ironing-board). Good breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms are more or less equal. At least accourding to evacuation plan :)

I stayed in a single room that was was clean and comfortable but small. The bathroom was tiny in that the shower and toilet were separated by a shower curtain.

The hotel is about 3 km from the ferry terminal and 2 km from the town center. As I did not have a car and public transportation was not available, I walked to the town center via the pedestrian path. A taxi cost about 10 euro for the 2 km into town.

Wi-Fi is expensive. 6 Euro for two hours. I was able to find a hotspot in the city center so I can't comment on the connection.

This was the 2nd time I stayed at the Strandnas Hotel in Mariehamn. I have been very pleased both times. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are quite large. There is a refrigerator and microwave on lower level.
The couple that run the reception are about as kind and service oriented as anyone could possibly be. Several times they guessed what I was going to ask before I could get the words out of my mouth.
Breakfast is adequate and there is a coffee maker in the dinning room area that one can use 24 hours a day.
The Strandnas is by far the best deal in town because it is a really good hotel at about half the price of other hotels in town.
Only drawback i can think of is that it is about 3 kilometers from the city center whereas other hotels are right in the center of town.
However, there is a FREE bus service that leaves and returns numerous times during the day to a bus station about 200 meters from the front door of the hotel.

Will not think twice when I come back to Aland. Will definitely stay here again.
Nothing fancy but very adequate and the price is right

Keep up the great work, Strandnas

Clean modern rooms with lots of space. Good service and breakfast. The surroundings are quiet as the hotel is a little bit off the center of Mariehamn. Most of the hotels in Mariehamn are quite old and some even a bit dodgy, so it was nice to find that this hotel wasn't. There is an Italian ice cream place just next to the hotel and the best supermarket in Åland, Sparhallen, is close-by.
