“A real haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

We stayed here on our Camino trip and had a really good night. The owner was very welcoming and the rooms were a great place to collapse after the days walk. They were large, clean and decently decorated. The beds passed the Barganax comfy test.
Oh, the joy of the shower, endless hot water! Not to be sneered at on a Camino walk.
Yes, the hotel is not in the town centre, but it is a comfortable walk so I do not see this as a negative thing.
We dined at the hotel, it was good solid food. Nothing fancy but again wholesome and welcoming.
Next morning the breakfast was laid out as a buffet and lots of choice.

This hotel is located on a very busy street but we were lucky to have a room at the back of the hotel away from the traffic noises. The hotel is quite dated but the staff are so friendly from the manager who met us on arrival, to the cleaning staff who prepared our rooms to allow us check in early, to the restaurant staff who explained everything on the menu. The food was hot, delicious and plentiful. The only place on the trip where second helpings were offered.

Stayed one night, host was great ... English was good, knew lots about the local wine, which we quite enjoyed. Don't have any complaints. Place is a bit dated ... We have spoiled ourselves along our Camino adventure, this hotel was one of our most basic. It is getting a bit dated.

This hotel made up for the frustrating experience in another hotel on the camino the previous night. We were greeted with such a friendly face which I think was the owner and told us all about the local areas of interest. The food is wonderful and loads of it . Would reccommend this hotel to any wary camino walker

We stayed here for one night on the Camino de Santiago. We didn't expect much - the hotel is on a busy road and doesn't look much but we had one of the best meals of our whole 2 weeks here and enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendliness of the hosts very much.

The room was simple but comfortable with a spacious enclosed balcony and bathroom. The owner speaks excellent English and we had a wonderful dinner - traditional Spanish food and lots of it - cooked by his father. Breakfast was equally good. We had after dinner brandies which he gave us for free as part of the dinner deal - really lovely generous man.

What friendly staff! Good honest food, almost too much. Excellent value. My wife was ill with a touch of heat stroke and without any request the offer was made to take her chicken soup and lots of water. Very thoughtful service from lovely people

What made this inn stand out from others along the Camino was Luis' amazing gift of hospitality. He is the ultimate host - cheerful, competent, welcoming and caring. The meals he provided were enormous and delicious, and he entertained us before dinner with tales of the local wines and cheese. Our room was large and clean, with an ample bath and a patio overlooking the street. A wonderful overnight respite when walking the Camino.
