“Great loved it,dont listen to the moaners!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2008

Well where do i start, was wondering what to expect after reading the reviews, but can i just say that if your going to a 2 star why expect 4 star????? some people just arnt happy why moan about it??? just dont book it those people annoy me soooooo much!
This hotel was great on the main strip so plenty to do,rooms are basic but what else do you need?? we stayed in room 407 which overlooked the back pool it was very clean ,cleaned every day with fresh towels each day!
Food was good could do with being aliitle bigger, but after a few drinks you can have gyros on the way home,we did!!
Isnt buffet style you have a menu to choose from which i prefer as it feels like your in a resturant, breakfast was simple with items that are included, and some you have to pay for.plenty of tea and coffee the bacon sandwich is very nice! if your looking for a great breakfast theres a place up the road called SOS and it does a massive breakfast for 2.80 bargin and so nice!
The staff work very hard here the waiters are fantastic there flat out all the time and will always try to please you!
I will say i was so annoyed by the wasps but there were everywhere in corfu! and the mossies are out and about big time,i never get bit and i was covered! not one cockroach in site! as its so clean!
some great bars around the area we drank in babylon most nights as its opposite!
please dont listen to the moaners its great here and would hesitate about going back, wouldnt book with thomas cook again though due to the 12 hr delay on the way out but thats another story!!! go to this hotel you wont be dissapointed, but go expecting basic not 5 star luxcery!

We went to Corfu for a wedding and chose this hotel for it's good price and location in Sidari. On arrival the night security guard gave us the worst room in the hotel (401). This was in the loft (3 floors up), very small and dirty, no balcony and simply not acceptable to spend a week in. We complained the next day and were moved the day after that to a refurbished room which was very nice. DO NOT accept room 401 or above! The staff were all very nice, especially the Australian receptionist (Katherine?) and the waiters but the food can only be described as school dinners! It was not a buffet style as you would expect, instead you had a good choice of different food daily but it all seemed to have been prepared long beforehand and just heated up and handed out upon ordering. Breakfast is cleared away at 10am on the dot so get there early. However, the only free breakfast is beans or eggs on toast and tea/coffee/juice. A full English all day from the pool bar is only EUR3.50 so breakfast was really not worth getting up for. The entertainment was ok and location for nightlife/restaurants/taxis excellent but I would not reccommend this hotel for families with small children as it is directly on the main road with no gates and not very secure. Overall, an average med hotel living up to it's 2 star rating. Sidari itself was nice but a long way from the airport. The hotel was directly infront of the beach but the beach is nothing to get excited about. I would not stay here again but if I had to, I would go self catering.

we have just returned from 2 week stay at the momsia hotel & cant really fault it. there was egiht of us in are party & we had a great time. As for the food (which most reviews seem to complane about) we had great meals we enjoyed all are meals & never had a bad one , the waiter work very hard & so does the kitchin staff.
breakfast you have a choice toast jam , 4 types cereals , mixed fruit or you can have the lot together as many time as you like, as well as tea coffe & juice. IF you are still hungery you can have scrambled egg on toast or beans on toast (or both) just ask the waiter as this is part of the half board .You can buy bacon butty 1.50 euro (very nice) or full breakfast (yum yum) for 3.50 euro, can get this out & about for 2.50 euro.
Dinners are 4 different choices per day (starters & dinner)puddin you done know till the end. THERE IS CHILDREN MEALS BUT YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR CHILDS MENUE.
so food good staff good hotel good location good, so if you have booked go here you will have a good stay.

The location is very convenient as it is just across the road from the beach and at the end of the main street with bars, Coop supermarket, restaurants etc.
The hotel has two pools each with a bar and there are plenty of sun beds available although not many sun umbrellas. The staff including receptionist and waiters are nice, friendly and helpful.
The hotel rooms were on the whole clean but the bathroom was small, basic and well worn. One of our biggest issues was with the food. The breakfast was the worst ever! The toast was not edible, the juice too sweet, the eggs were a mess, and the fruit was from a tin although there is plenty of fresh fruit in Greece !! And the full english breakfast you can have for a charge we didnt even try as we were too fed up already. For dinner, the starters and desserts were ok, but the main meal was again not edible. Overcooked peas or okra (that is the vegetable choice!), not properly cooked meat and to top it all I ate there the worst lasagne of my life !!! Another downside was that there was hardly any greek food on offer. So after three days we gave up on dinner and ate out !
Be also aware that there are plenty of mosquitos around. It is worth getting the air conditioning which is something like 5 Euro a day.
The evening entertainment left a lot to be desired. It can also be said that the word entertainement is a misnomer.
All in all the location is superb, the staff are great but everything else leaves a lot to be desired.

We booked this through Airtours web site but we booked & paid for a 3 star but ended up in this hell hole! We paid High season prices as it was October Half term but when we arrived we were informed the Corfu Season had ended so nothing was open!

There was no mention of this on the web site - & still isnt despite Airtours fobbing off my complaint by saying it states the season is over on the internet!

The Food was appalling & the receptionist very rude & arrogant! I can not beleive we spent our hard earned money on this pile of c%a*!

Although we paid for both our children they were not even given proper beds to sleep in! They were expected to sleep in rickety camp beds - but then again the proper beds were like cot beds anyway!

We were completely misled & we will never book with airtours again!
The only good thing about this holiday was coming home!

I visited the hotel for seven days in June and had a lovely time.
I am a single dad of two one aged ten and one fifteen so I read the reviews prior to booking with an open mind, my key priorities are cleanliness and pleasant surroundings, here we found both.
Corfu itself has not progressed like Spain and it does'nt need to.
I visited corfu 20 years ago and little has changed, not a bad thing either.
The Hotel is very pleasant and is owned by English people. The rooms were great, nice and spacious and kept very clean. The food was typically Greek, I was worried it would'nt suit the kids but they loved it. Breakfast was basic with cereal, fruit eggs or beans on toast or yoghurt full English available at an extra cost.
Staff are great typical Greeks, friendly and out to ensure you have a good time. The resort is a series of bars and shops all very nice and friendly we ate lunch out a couple of times it was great food and cheap. the beach is lovely all in all a very nice place.
The only downside for me was the transfer from the airport is 1.5 hours and I don't travel well on busses but thats my problem.
Water park on Island is huge but again a good bus ride away all in all its a lovely place but be prepared to slow down to their pace, try it you might like it, I did

  • Liked — The relaxed and friendly atmosphere
  • Disliked — Greek drainage system the same wherever you go
