“Great holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

This hotel is a short walk from the beach and the town and is reasonably priced, clean and has mosquito screens which made for a better night sleep. Nicos the bar manager could not do enough for us and would go out of his way to make sure his customers were happy. The food was freshly prepared and we found out after trying the other local restaurants to a better standard than them and always good portions, hot and delicious. Nicos baby we love you! See you next year!

The apartments are clean and basic and provided sufficient plates, cups and cutlery. There is a small electric cooker, fridge and kettle in the kitchen/dining area. The shower room is compact and basic, with shower, wash bowl and toilet (take or buy extra toilet paper)!! The apartment was cleaned most days, towels changed a couple of times a week and sheets once a week. The balcony (with table and 2 chairs) overlooked the pool and road (with some inevitable noise from traffic). There were plenty of sunbeds round a really nice pool and separate children's pool. Drinks at the bar were very reasonably priced. We paid 40 Euro for air conditioning after 1 night of sleeping in a hot and humid room. The air con was a bit noisy, however, it did cool the bedroom down (single beds were firm, pillows not too bad). We were at the end of a corridor on the first floor, which meant we were able to take the table and chairs outside the apartment to enjoy lunch in the shade - also had a lovely breeze. It was 10 mins from a great sandy beach and very shallow sea - very safe for swimming. The town centre (the strip) is only 10 mins walk away, with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Quite a few restaurants offered light entertainment after 10.00 pm, which was very pleasant. We had very good meals at Three Little Pigs (very large quantities), which also offered Greek dancing, plate throwing and fire display! Also enjoyed meals at Sea Breeze, BED and Memories in town, which offered special deals and also overlooked the beach. Sidari is ideal for families and friends. Take mosquito repellent with you!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the first floor, with a good view of the pool and hillside.

I stayed here for 11 nights with Ian (my boyfriend) and my 9 year old son Tom. We all loved it! Nicos, Sophia and Valliki absolutely made our stay the best! The rooms are fab, lovely balcony overlooking the pool, facilities are just right. Nicos really is the host with most! He is a good people person, and you can tell he "knows" people within no time at all! We always drank our Mythos from a chilled glass, and he would say "You want a glass?" - when we said "Yes", he would snort and get you one, with a cheeky glint in his eye! He knows if you have a sense of humour, so wouldn't do this if you didn't! The pool area is kept clean and tidy. Nicos is clearing glasses away, and picking up bits of rubbish as he goes along, so much so that at the end of each day, I would get my other half to empty his ashtray, and we would straighten our sunbeds and take empties back to the bar - only takes a minute to help! The food at the Christakis is wonderful. English breakfast is the best I've ever had in Greece and is 5 Euro for bacon, sausage, eggs, hash brown, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast, butter, jam and a cuppa and an orange juice - sets you up for the day! We also went to the Greek night which was fantastic. The food was gorgeous. The Kleftiko here is beautiful too - highly recommended.

Every restaurant we went to was exceptionially good, with the exception of Angelina's in Canal D'Amour/Peroulades, which was average. We enjoyed The Three Little Pigs, The Village, Madison, Memories, The Village and the Steak House just down from Christakis.

We are looking to go back to Christakis next summer, as we enjoyed it so much!

If you are in Sidari, drop in to Christakis for a beer, lunch and a swim, or for dinner on an evening - you won't be disappointed, and Nicos will make you feel more than welcome!

Lynne, Ian and Tom x

We booked here after reading several excellent reviews on tripadvisor. It turned out to be every bit as good as we expected. The apartments were clean and well maintained. The pool was spotless, largely due to the efforts of Nikos who never stopped from sunrise to sunset. The pool bar, run by Nikos served good quality, reasonably priced food whether you wanted Greek or English. That said I did find it difficult to eat there whenever I noticed the Leeds Utd and Sheffield Wednesday scarfs over the bar. The onlt negative I can think of was the shortage of umbrellas available poolside. The beach was 5-10 minutes walk away. The beach slopes very gently and it is some distance before the water level reached my chest. It was clean and there were no shortage of beach bars for snacks and drinks. By night we found an excellent choice of restaurants, "The Three Little Pigs" being the stand out venue for both food and entertainment. The waiters Greek dancing was a joy to watch. The resort has plenty of atmosphere without any sign of being over run by 20-something drinkers. All in all, Sidari is a lovely little resort and the Christakis apartments are the perfect base. Drop in and say Hi to Nikos, he's sure to give you a warm welcome.

We had a fantastic nine days, staying at the Christakis 6th Aug -15th, we couldnt fault a thing. Nicos the manager was a star nothing was too much trouble for this man. He really doesnt sit still. Our room was lovely and clean and had every thing you needed for your stay. We went BB and Maria who does the food did us proud every morning. Food at the Christakis is really good and good value for money. As it only havs 20 rooms its very friendly and we met some lovely people. So if your reading this Jo and Gaz yes we mean you!!! The Christakis is in a prime position, only a short stroll to the strip and to the beach. Pop into Jeni's only a short stroll, which does lovely cakes and fresh rolls, we had some made up for our flight back. This was our first time to Sidari and it really is for all age groups, plenty of places to eat so you will not go hungry. We ate somewhere different every night. We only have positive things to say about the Christakis and the fab Nicos.
