“Very useful place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

The owner could not have been more welcoming and lovely. The motel is easy to get to off the highway and close enough to town to access whatever you need. The room was clean, comfortable and pleasant. The heat pump worked well and kept us warm. Good bathroom and adequate kitchen facilities. Also lots of tourist info available in office.

I stayed three nights for a combined Business / Holiday trip to the region. Friendly welcome and the room was tidy, and facilities were adequate. I bought the wireless internet option at $5.00 per day, paid 3 days upfront. They supplied the password each day and it worked seamlessly. Would have been nice if the new password was in my room when serviced, rather than me having to collect it from Reception.

Good value option which I will use again.

I have stayed here a number of times and the New management are turning the Motel around. The recent installation of heat pumps makes for a comfortable well presented unit. Worth being a little bit out of town for the park like setting. Only 2 minute drive from Coastlands Shopping Town, or a 20 minute walk for the active. Not your average motel feeling of cramming as many units into a small space as possible. Easy access from State Highway 1. Graeme

I stayed here over the weekend as I was attending a Wedding in the area. It is basic accomodation, a little bit of a dated unit, but for the price I would not complain! The service was great and the price was right. The room was clean and spacious.

If you are looking for 5 star accomodation then don't stay here but if you are just looking for a nice tidy unit then this should be perfect. I would stay again.

my husband and i stayed here in december whist attending a wedding in the area, aria and her family have recently taken over management. speedy check in and very helpful service. the room we stayed in was good (tidy and clean), bathroom was a little dated and the t.v. was very small but overall a nice place to stay.

husband and i stayed last night with our two children. those two little people are very honest but we are happy to report lindale lodge got 4 thumbs up! room 8 is great and we're also pleased to note the t.v's have been upgraded to 20+ flat screen sony t.v's. room 8 is the accessible room with queen, single and we added a trundler for my daughter. it is a studio but is still quite roomy and the bathroom is relatively new so that was another bonus.

we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: room 8 is good - good tv and modern bathroom. can fit a trundler in so can sleep 2 adults and 2 youn...

Very tired looking rooms, I travel alot for work and this room was very poor for the room rate.
Massive spider web in the bathroom across the window which looked like it had made its home there for the last wee while!
Holes in the bed sheets. Police alert note in the room regarding thieves targeting motels in the area, helpful I guess but did nothing to make me feel safe traveling alone.
Will drive the extra distance to Wellington next trip.

This is a basic but good motel to stay in. If driving to Wellington to cross the Cook Strait this motel is only 30 min away. Rooms are basic but acceptable. We would go there again.
