We had a great time in St. Barts! This island is amazing! Hotel Normandie was nice. I guess i cannot say it was great until Silvia came along. She was just fabulous. So friendly and accomodating!!! Eula, the manager, was never there; whenever you'd see her, she was always in a rush, telling you that she doesn't have time for your questions because she was on her way to do a personal business etc...So we were a little bit turned off by that because we got to a point where we were afraid to ask anything...We felt like we were a burden for her and the funny thing is that we paid a good bit to stay there! Fortunately when Silvia came along she made us feel welcome! On another note, the rooms were nice, clean. Small, but intimate. The breakfast was good too, consisting of different breads, marmelades, orange juice and coffee.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at St Barths; for those who'd like to experience this stunning island without spending excessively on hotel stays, you can't get better than this wonderfully quaint B&B (a warning for those who would prefer an all-inclusive resort style accommodation, this is probably not for you...).
The staff are professional, warm and welcoming. Eula the manager and Sylvia are incredibly charming and helpful (tu me masques déjà...merci pour tout!); i would definitely take them up on their offer to arrange a rental car through their contact - a car on the island is a must!)
The room is clean and well-appointed; the very French breakfast of croissant, hot coffee and juice is included - all freshly baked (coffee is fantastic!).
The hotel itself is literally a 5 minute drive to Saline Beach, and a 5 minute walk to Lorient Beach.
I especially appreciated the pool area which was quiet and refreshing.
I would definitely recommend this establishment to friends and family.

Room Tip: I would recommend a room away from the entrance door as the sound of it opening/closing might annoy...

We had a great time staying here for our first trip to St. Barthes. The location is great (center of island) and easy to find from the airport. The staff was so kind and hospitable and made us feel like it was home. The rooms were well kept and recently moderninzed. Each room had a tv, mini-fridge, and adaptors for your chargers/appliances. They provided fresh beach towels every day, as well as some delicious cafe and croissants for breakfast. I would highly reccomend this to anyone. It is an economic way to stay in ST. Barthes, but in a prime location, with a great feeling. Def would go back!

This is a wonderful boutique and newly renovated hotel. The rooms are small, but the location is great. St Jean Beach is down the road and a small grocery store is on the corner. Nightlife in Gustavia is a short drive away. And Eden Rock and Nikki Beach are about 10 minutes away by car. The place is spotless and well maintained. I highly recommend this place for a short stay. If you're staying for a week, you may begin to feel claustrophobic if you're a couple. The staff are friendly, helpful - we'd definitely stay here again.

Normandie is a safe, lovely place to stay. Eula the manager was lovely, friendly and helpful.
Dennis shared wonderful wine and conversation. We hope we can return next season.

Room Tip: All rooms should be fine. We prefer to be in the front area of the hotel.

We stayed at the Normandie for one night only until our friends arrived and we went over to our shared vacation home rental. Although we arrived late in the day on Sunday and the staff was gone for the day, it was easy to find our welcome envelope and key and let ourselves in. The room was very clean and we loved the brand new bathroom. The next morning, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and served a delicious breakfast to us poolside. We would definitely stay there again and hope to do so!
